well the Mac is a stronger confrence than most would like to believe. They have beat 2 big ten teams this year and a western michigan team that beat the Illini.

Precisely - which is why they are over-rated. Do you believe that they would be favored over LSU or even Cincinnati? I suggest to you they would not.

I think you lose the Cincinnati point.
Ball State would look much better at #20. If Utah, Boise State, TCU and BYU were not in the picture they would be in the top 12. Its the way of the polls.

Oh no sir. Nate Davis is a monster, Im in CIncy and follow the Bearcats and usually pull for them, but i believe Ball State would win. They put up 45 against a good Northern Illionos team.

The polls are very unforgiving of losses to teams not in the top 15, especially more than one such loss.

As a fellow MAC fan, Ball State doesnt deserve to be were they are. they havent played anyone. they beat Northeastern, and Navy. Not exaclty the best teams. then a struggling Indiana team, which i might add Central Michigan also beat. the only difference between Central Michigans schedule and Ball States is that they played the pre-season #1 Georgia, and lost a close game to Purdue. Ball State will be challenged in up coming weeks by defending MAC Champs Central Michigan and a very good Western Michigan team. The MAC is 5-2 over big-10 teams this season, hence making the MAC a better confrance.
