Just wondering...The SEC is CONSISTANTLY the best conference from top to bottom year after year. Just admit it...The SEC WINS Bowl games. The SEC equals the BCS standard of determining who is who...First off let's address this "Ole Miss" thing. Those Florida boys underestimated a solid Ole Miss team. They looked past them in the schedule and it bit them in the rear. NOTE* Though unranked at the time this Ole Miss squad has proven to be a solid SEC team boasting wins to both Florida AND LSU, both college football powerhouses. Also, I would be willing to bet that this SAME squad could EASILY have been playing OU in the BIG 12 Championship Game.

New fish to fry... How in the world does Ohio State get a BCS birth? The "BIG 10" is not worthy...Penn State beat that at home...BAD! That's it. They were DESTROYED by the TROJANS, just like ANY SEC or BIG 12 team could do to them at any given moment. And "WeWillSee" when TEXAS Spanks that UN Deserving ASS! Just another year of having to watch a OVER Ranked and OVER Rated team get a BCS game over DESERVING teams like Texas Tech, Boise St, Georgia, Mizzou... OHIO STATE SHOULD BE RANKED SOMEWHERE BETWEEN #16-20.

Here's THE REAL TOP 5

#1 Florida. UNDISPUTABLE. They beat the BEST team in the country. ALABAMA.

#2 Alabama. This Defense could make Sam Bradford OR Colt McCoy look like that joke of a Heisman winner Troy Smith. Remember the UNDEFEATED Buckeyes?

#3 USC. The Trojans. I'm sorry but it's true.

#4 TEXAS. They BEAT "The Sooners". They are BETTER! DUH!!

#5 Okalahoma. Good Job DISMANTLING Texas Tech... Texas STILL beat you.

This is all extremely subjective...This is what makes the BCS soooooo interesting. Without it we wouldn't be blogging like this. NO Playoff, keep the BCS!!

BTW if any of you "BIG 3" still doesn't believe "WeWillSee" when our best the Florida Gators DESTROY your best. Lets take a Poll:

Florida Wins.

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

For clarification I meant IF. IF florida beats Alabama they will go to the national championship game and I don't think anyone doubts THAT. I didn't mean to say they will beat Alabama. I think they will but I also won't be floored if Alabama wins (and quite happy that Alabama took away any championship hopes from the fat fullback @QB and his hotheaded coach).

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

I don't see how losses are quality wins, but if that is the case, my hogs are 8-4, same as, um, Ole Miss. Ole Miss is an SEC team so wins over Memphis, Samford, and Louisiana Monroe are supposed to happen. Arkansas, Auburn, and Mississippi State all finished with losing records and tied for 4th and last in the west division. LSU at 7-5 lost 3 of their last 4 and haven't had a good win since Oct. 18 at South Carolina. LSU wins over Troy and Tulane are supposed to happen.

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

jason what are you smoking? puff puff give..sounds like an excuse to me..we can sit here and argue opinions about who did what to who and it doesn't prove crap....here are the facts for you ou fans that run your mouths and make excuses for choking ---- { i have communicated with good ou fans that i wish not to aim this reply to ,OU_RON i like talking with you ron you make the team look good}
fact 1-as texas fans we really only care about one thing, which is really the only thing that matters texas met you halfway, with less talent in october and handed OU their ass.. so don't give me injury excuses ... if OU is so much better than texas they didn't need ryan reynolds, right? their better right? have them show up to the game and prove it on the field..then you don't need excuses " oh the refs did this and this guy got injured" i'm so sick of that..you got your ass kicked by less talent..according to you guys..that dosn't spell champion to me...i will be the first to admit OU was the better team in 07, because they beat texas....or was it becuase limas sweed was hurt? excuse..if OU and bob stoops are so damn good them have them recruit out of thair own state and show up and beat us on the field...ous team is made up of 80% to 90% texas kids, the ones that go to OU because of tradtion and to be different, can't blame them, not everyone can
play at texas.

are you an OU fan from texas? you act like one.

fact 2- forgive us texas fans, and fans of our conference if we feel lke oklahoma football is not the best big 12 reprentative lately! you keep getting sent to the best games and you keep choking, don't even look like champions.. remember the last four bowls you've represented our conference in? or are you just on the bandwagon and don't know anything except a computer voted you #2, check the human polls buddy! they remind me of 45-35 and how the "better team"choked there too. i wouldnt be so dissappointed if the record was better, at least texas has showed up and won their bowl games..
it's a lot simpler than you guys are making it..texas beat you "the best" team right? don't make excuses, don't hate and accept the fact. we could care less where you go and what you're label or rank is when it's over, we got braggin rights for a year..you can't get it back for a year and you can't have a perfect season and you're all just pissed about it...hey we will take the fiesta bowl anyday, its a hell of an accomplishment for such a "bad team" . we will get the win and end up with the better record while yall choke your asses off as usual and make us look even better

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

Bitter? No offence to Oklahoma but i do think its bogus that Texas isn't at #2 they did win the head to head match up.....regardless of what Oklahoma has done since they lost that game if i were a Texas fan id be pissed

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

I agree if you got to let the new oc bring in his own position coaches.well good luck with the rebuild.

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Bunch of one loss teams, a couple of undefeated outsiders (Utah and Boise State no less), tight BCS standings...

Where have we seen this before?

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

Why wouldn't Florida be justified in leapfrogging Texas? I wish we'd go back to the old offense, but maybe give the spread another try if we got the right guy in there. If they don't, it's Texas-Oklahoma. Of course, BCS voters would all "manipulate" their votes to get Florida in the CG. I very much believe voters will move Florida ahead of Texas if Florida wins. Should they? That's a great question. If Florida beats Alabama, it's questionable if they deserve to leapfrog Texas. The SEC was just not a great conference this year and it's a stretch to value Florida's loss or strength of schedule as superior to Texas.

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

Do you mean if FL LOSES to AL we will end up with Big 12 rematch............

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

Gator is a fake troll.......

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

So TE in your opinion if we suck so bad how did we manage to end up 12 when most people like yourself thought we would be 7-5 ...8-4 at best. That 13 coming from LSU at Baton Rouge, and the other two games were shutouts.

Our lowest scoring games were two 17 points games, with a win against Auburn 17-7, and a loss to Vanderbilt because of costly turnovers (Seven I believe, and four of those were interceptions, Vandy had to strip the ball out of McCluster's hand at the goal line to preserve the win)

Highest scoring game was 59 against LA Monroe. 6 games where we scored 30+ points. Most points we gave up all season were 31 at home against South Carolina in a loss 31-24.

In the second half of the season our defense was playing as good as the elite in the country, allowing 65 total points in 6 games. Compare that to Oklahoma lighting up the scoreboard with 60+ points at the end of their regular season against those (stellar) Big 12 defenses. Har, har.

2 shutouts against LA Monroe and Mississippi State. Jevan Snead was tied with Matthew Stafford in alot of the categories in the SEC, I believe. I don't know what the stats are now.

"They remember what you do in November." 5 game winning streak, 4 of those wins in November. 4-0 with a combined 152 points in the month of November 2008.

All 4 loses on the season were by a combined 19 points. Ole Miss is undefeated this season when having 1 or less turnovers, and winless when having two or more.

ROAD WARRIORS - Won in Gainesville, Fayetteville, and Baton Rogue. Lost at Winston-Salem by a last-second field goal by Wake Forest. Lost AT Tuscaloosa by 4 points on a 4th and 5 and threatening to score. (WARNING/Side Note: Alabama fans, please bring an extra change of underwear when you play Ole Miss)

Please excuse the red & blue bias, but I do believe we're vastly underrated.

Re: 2008 - Week 14 College Football Polls

Aw.
