Clemson1981 We are in agreement, there have been streaks before were UT has one 8 straight in the series-none of that stuff matters. The only thing that really matters is the scoreboard at the end of the game. I'm really kinda glad that OU has had alot of success because that makes it a better rivalry.

Games are indeed played on the field, but what happens on the field goes to paper mighty fast my friend, always has always will.

Hey clemson 1981 Games are played on the feild not on paper and stats are what you make of them, you can go back 10 years or 100 yrs it doesnt really matter because thats all ancient history. The teams that are playing today, right now this year even with red-shirts are 2-2 against one another 2 outa the last 3 going to Texas and last years game was a real close hard fought game that coulda went either way.
There is no fast track to anything, could texas beat OU and Missu in back to back weeks, yes its possible, but theres no fast track to anything , even if they were to pull that off next week there is Oklahoma State who will probably beat Missu this weekend and then there's Texas Tech and Kansas could Texas win against all those tough teams week after week- highly unlikely, but you never know, might win half of them, might lose them all, but theres no fast track, because even if by some miracle they survive the guanlet known as the toughest to survive in the nation, then they can play Missu or KU again- aint no fast track to anything. The Horns just started conference play and nothing is automatic for anybody including OU, Missu, OK St, KU and TTech

Why should we believe that UT has a shot against OU? I like UT wayyy more than OU, orange is better than red of any kind any day, but OU has owned you guys since Mack became HC. Granted Texas has won in 05 and 06 but only 4 of the last 10 overall. It will be a great game, no doubt but even if you are to beat OU, and I would love it just as much as you, then you get Mizzou. If you guys can beat those two teams back-2-back weeks, then WOW you are the #1 team in the nation and have the fast track to the title game, but I don't see that happening.

You may be right about Penn State not playing well, or that Mizzou will wear down. But looking at the schedule and looking at the talent, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that Mizzou and Penn St. could play. It not beyond that same realm that LSU, Bama, OU, and USC could play in the national title, any one of them. But based on schedule Penn St. could make it without a single problem, so could Mizzou, there only threat is OU in the Big 12 title game, Penn St. has OSU, thats it and the way the Buckeyes are playing and the way Penn St D is playing.........think of it like that.

I wouldnt have responded except 1981 said Missu/OU well they aint played UT yet.
If he woulda said Missu/OU/UT/TTech/Ok st vs LSU/Bama//Vandy because its way early to be predicting anything.

i wouldnt either........i bet PSU loses three games this year...........and to the earlier comment from someone about someone else be in the game.......that is dumb...i wonder why those same teams are in it every year ( it couldnt be because the earn it, could it)

----just for the record...does anyone on this site honestly believe, regardless of team affiliation, realisticly that a Nick-Saban coached team will win in Tiger Stadium (he is 0-1 there with the Dolphins post-Katrina)

That game this weekend is setting up to be a classic for the ages. Both teams look outstanding. I don't have a clue who's going to take it, but I'm pumped up for it, and I don't even have a dog in that fight.

FSU has played 14 good to great quarters this year on offense. Eight of those were against FCS. On the other hand, they've played 18 good-to-great quarters on defense (again, 8 against FCS teams). I still contend that FSU is a team on the way up, but you already expect me to say that. #3 defense, #32 offense... or roughly the same as unranked TCU. They just haven't played enough someones, so no rank-ie.
