I really want to bring in Skip Holtz. If he doesnt want it we should try Turner Gill, Tommy Bowden, or why not Philip Fulmer???

Chip Kelly would be a great choice for the Orange. Kelly's ties with the Northeast would help in recruiting states like NJ & PA and his offensive schemes (ask Oregon State) would be some excitement to the once football proud 'Cuse program.

I would like to see Fresno State hire Boise's OC Bryan Harin, Oregon's OC-Chip Kelly or Application State Coach Jery Moore. Dirk Killer OC at Jags too.

i am surprised charlie strong hasn't been brought up. greg mattison left for the nfl after last year. this year is all charlie's defense and it is damn good. he would be perfect for a buffalo or san diego state. msu is a graveyard.

I'm not at all surprised to see a couple of teams going after Boise's, Chris Petersen. What I don't understand is why none have gone after Appy St's, Jerry Moore. Not to mention, both men have good coaching staffs from which to pick potential up-and-comers. Appy's OLC, Shawn Elliott has been coaching since '97, & QBC, Scott Saterfield has been coaching since '98. Then again, why would no one consider Boise's OC, Bryan Harsin? In addition, their WRC, Breant Pease has loads of experience, and 2nd'ary Coach, Marcel Yates, is said to have potential.

I'm real sorry to see Sylvester Croom decide to resign (be resigned?) at MS St. I thought he was a decent human being, coaching in a tough conference. In my opinion, college football needed him; he'll be missed.

MSU must hire a coach who can bring a creative OC and QB. MSU hasn't had a quality QB since Madkin. Venables at OU is a quality coach and has had exposure defensing explosive Big 12 offenses. He clearly understands the value of a quality QB. OU is mi\ddle of the pack in Big 12 without Bradford. I think MSU has some quality athletes who are quality people. Thanks to Croom for cleaning up the mess. Too bad he couldn't recruit a QB.

I love Tennessee, but I also love Fulmer. If he does get the job at Clemson, then Clemson will be my co-favorite team.

i say hire jeff bower former usm coach. he would be a great recruiter and he has a proven track record. all he ever did at southern miss was win!!!

I've heard rumors about Fulmer, but based on what the AD said, they're going to hire a search firm to help with a national search. Fulmer does fit the description of what the AD wants, but I don't see that happening. I think two available guys that make a lot of sense are Sonny Dykes and Patrick Nix. They're young, they're great recruiters, they understand the region, and they have the coaching skills to rejuvenate MSU's stale offense.
