I mentioned this yesterday, but the thread it was in got deleted. It's the end of the world as we know it.

    ...and I feel faaaaaaaaaaaaaahn!

Things I never thought I see: Corso with a Commodore Mascot head on.
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
Maybe they will bring back George.
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
    We better court-martial him...
  • The_Central_Scrutinizer · 1 year ago
I've often pictured Corso's head in a commode - hell, I think his cracked egg *belongs* in a commode. Silly catfart.
  • Zac · 1 year ago
Now U kut dat out. He's more den a catfart; he'za kerazy guinzo too. Just like me.
  • AUtigerman · 1 year ago
    I doubt youll see that
  • TERRY · 1 year ago
    And you still WON"T!
  • Ben Prather · 1 year ago
It's not the end of the world until a BCS non AQ team gets into the National Title game and the BCS decides to rearrange the AQ conferences.
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
    And I feel fine.
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
That's only the end of OUR world, Ben. Yours will have just been born...
  • Ben Prather · 1 year ago
I already called it, The BCS expands to include the MWC in 2012 and the Mayans are proved right before they get to benefit.
  • c-dogg · 1 year ago
Is this some kind of joke?
  • Zac · 1 year ago
    Iz dat a twik qweschun???
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
I'd like some mint jelly with my sacrificial lamb, please. Why is this beginning to give me the feeling that we're being set up here? Hey, I'd take the loss if I could get some sort of guarantee that Vandy would win the east. Let me go back to my smoke-filled room and see if I can make a deal...

But whatever you guys do, take Vandy and the points...
  • nsirrection08 · 1 year ago
Don't get to used to him( Bobby Johnson ) Vandy come Dec. Home is gonna come calling.
  • Zac · 1 year ago
Say what you want about the 2nd coming. It's about time Bobby Johnson had something to show for his efforts and the efforts of his players. Good for him, them, and their school. (By the way, GH, nice touch on the article.)

What I find to be especially interesting is this. WVU ranks 15th in all-time wins, and the GDC has never been at any of their games. YET, here they are coming to Vandy. Like I said earlier, good for them!!! ...and I feel faaaaaaaaahn!
  • TigerEducated · 1 year ago
Do any of you guys think that the 3rd straight SEC GameDay locale has ANYTHING to do with ESPN's Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge new deal with the SEC?

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
  • Tom_Blogical · 1 year ago
    You playing Devil's Advocate?
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
I wonder how much the Devil's Advocate charges per billing hour? Probably less than my attorney...
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
Na Man that aint it. They are there because Vanderbilt is #1 in the SEC- Okay Might as well be OK State or Texas Tech- maybe your on track
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
Does this news that Game Day is coming mean that 60% of all tickets WON'T be available for the visitors? This is very disconcerning...

Look for Auburn to be portrayed as a rather tall Phillistine with a big 'G' on his helmet...
  • WarEagleFan · 1 year ago
Just make sure you hide all the rocks before the game....
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
All except the one we need to rush down their throats...
  • WarEagleFan · 1 year ago
Hopefully they won't return the favor..... but who knows with Vandy their Defense is usually good with a bad offense and this year seems no different. TO have killed their opponents and we have had a bad habit of those this year.
  • Cobia · 1 year ago
Does anyone know what the spread is on this game?
  • Clemson_Joe · 1 year ago
  • blackdawg · 1 year ago
    Excellent, appreciate the link.
  • Ben Prather · 1 year ago
For the pick'em it is currently Auburn by 4.
  • Cobia · 1 year ago
    Thanks guys.
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
Don't wager your money on the game. I've got these cool mortgage-backed securities you should really look at...
  • Zac · 1 year ago
Ah jus no'd U wuz kidd'n rite dare. I would daffinatly prefer to take my chances on the game, and the spread. Gime Auburn & 6.
  • Cobia · 1 year ago
WEA: Hahaha I think I'll be staying out of bonds for now, although some companies are actually doing well selling MBS and other asset-backed securities. Anyways do you have gasoline where you live?
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
We're starting to get some now. Luckily, I haven't had to wait in line. All my dealership inventory has gas in it, so I've just been alternating what I drive...
  • WarEagleFan · 1 year ago
WEA have could you give me a round about figure of what to pay for a specfic make and model? If so that would help me out alot.
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
Send me an email through my blog, which is linked in my profile...
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
Sounds good man, I only lost about a small fortune on my 457 plan, and now these guys get a bailout- no safety net for guys like me. I'd do better with my weekly picks- which suck BTW= I like chicken fights at least you got a 50-50 chance of 100% on your investment.
  • Cobia · 1 year ago
I'm afraid of the bad inflation, which will most likely follow the government’s excessive spending. The government’s going to start printing a lot of money that does not have the capital to back it.
  • OU_Fan · 1 year ago
I have much respect for the SEC and do recognize that they produce many talented teams, but this ESPN Gameday-SEC lovefest is really turning me away from ESPN. Speaking of SEC bias, how is Florida who lost to unranked Ole Miss at the Swamp still ranked ahead of Ohio State?? Ohio State lost to then number one USC at the Coliseum. And why is Tulsa not ranked in the top 25? Its a conspiracy. I think Ohio State-Wisconsin definately, Miami-Florida State, USC-Oregon, Nebraska-Mizzou, Texas-Colorado all have ESPN Gameday potential for the weekend. The only factor I see in common is that the ESPN Gameday crew only sets up at games with 2 ranked teams but if thats the case,.I think Ohio State at Wisconsin would be much more exciting. Thats just me. BOOMER!
  • Kevin @ Fanblogs · 1 year ago
Just because Gameday has featured at least one SEC team for five weeks so far this season... nah... that's not bias. ESPN just can't get enough of jorts! ;)
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
Jorts isn't a SEC thing exclusively. Maybe it's a southern thang...

CGD does have a historical bias for teams in the state of Florida--UF, FSU, UCG. Would you rather be in Tallahassee in November for Gators-Seminoles, or freezing your ass off in Columbus for OSU-Michigan?
  • AUtigerman · 1 year ago
Youll get it next week. Probably didnt want to have Texas 2 weeks in a row.

As far as the love for Sec its pretty simple. MONEY. The ratings in the south for college football are way way greater then they ever will be out west. Even if the football isnt any better.

I grew up out west and college football takes a back seat out west to most Pro teams.
But people in the south are fanatics and not just one or two teams. Imagine almost every team in your conference with a fan base like Oklahoma, Texas or Nebraska.
Outside of Boulder Co. youll hardly find a buffaloes cap. Same with Kansas even Missou.
ESPN is going to Nashville because for the first time ever they have a team to get excited about. I happen to believe that will end saturday but maybe not.

Your right, there may be some better games this weekend but this ones in Nashville. And the city itself is a draw.
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
Good observation, agreed Nashville sounds like a win-win for everybody .
  • Ben Prather · 1 year ago
The states of Utah and Idaho sit in a gap in NFL team coverage. This is part of why college football is succeeding in SLC and Boise State more than other non BCS environments.
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
Right Ben and the populations of those states are probably a lot lower than Tenn and Bama. T.V. is all about ratings- coverage= commercials=revenue etc etc
For the die-hard fans like us and regular espn viewers it really wouldn't make too much difference. I'm glad to see the gameday crew go to other locations like Vanderbilt. Have they ever gone to a BYU vs Utah? I'm guessing probably so, if not perhaps this year.

Aubbie to win, Vandi to cover....final score: 5-3 in 10 innings.

    Geaux Tigers
    Geaux SEC
  • AUtigerman · 1 year ago
Im hoping AU will get physical with these guys if they do,could be a long day for Vandy.
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
I hear they are going to back to the old offense.
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
We are making a few refinements until we get the necessary personnel to run a true spread...

    Whatever...
  • Jake · 1 year ago
Vanderbilt just might win this game. When AU gets that offense rolling they will be hard to stop. I see a close game. But i have a feeling the party will end soon for vandy
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH...I am like OU Fan! I have had enough with all this (beep) SEC propaganda!
OU Fan if Texas just happens to get by Colorado and Oklahoma just happens to get by Baylor it will be a Top 5 showdown in Dallas BUT don't be surprised if they go to Da' Swamp for Louisiana State and Florida!
  • AUtigerman · 1 year ago
They may not go to the swamp but i can promise you this, In the south, where college football is #1,the LSU Florida game will be a bigger draw then the Texas vs Ok. game
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
    Your opinion!
  • GeauxTigers0107 · 1 year ago
LMAO!! It would be a better game. <push button>

    Geaux Tigers
    Geaux SEC
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Still a response! The only button pushed was yours! I never "whined" on here that I was not gone response to someone because they did not agree with me! I thought I was on "that long list" of people that were not gone respond to me? Keep me on it , DOGGONE IT! It might be by the way...I expect Oklahoma to stomp that behind! You could be right!
  • jhtlhvt · 1 year ago
Anyone from the Nashville area? Can you recommend any good spots to park for this game? What time do you need to be there to grab these spots?
  • zttt9 · 1 year ago
OU is #1 and have not played a ranked team, what baised. CGD for the last 2 years have been in big 10 & pac 10 country. finally love for sec. surely CGD will be at the red river shootout.
  • grover · 1 year ago
It has been a long time since I have been this disappointed in Auburn football. The thing that I dislike the most - the stupid look where the whole offense looks over to the sideline to see if there is a new play. It is almost comical to see 11 players at the opponents 5 yard line looking back behind their bodies 30-40 yards with the play clock at 6-7 seconds and winding down. Auburn football should just believe they can line up and succeed without being 2nd guessed every play. This whole looking back mentality has destroyed their identity and confidence.
  • Cobia · 1 year ago
Grover: I agree with you on the whole look to the sideline thing. And the Auburn no-huddle offense isn't fast tempo at all. It seems like it takes them the same amount of time to snap the ball as if they did huddle. Wouldn't you agree?
