Then .... Utah is even in the the picture. Can you believe that? It could even be U.S.C. vs Utah in the B.C.S. National Championship Game (Very, very, very unlikely, though ...... and this is really a pretty huge understatement, although it is conceivable). If all expected favored teams prevail, however, I think Florida will take care of business vs. Alabama, and since the B.C.S. has Texas as being higher rated than Oklahoma mainly becaause of head to head competition (45-35 Texas over Oklahoma), Texas will be in the Big 12 Championship game and Texas will take care of business vs. Missouri, thus making for a Florida vs. Texas B.C.S. N.C. Matchup; and I think Florida will prevail vs. Texas for the B.C.S. National Championship. Have a great day, PFCP!!!

Re: BCS Standings - Nov. 16th 2008

I agree, but I still would like the Alabama vs U.S.C. matchup from an S.E.C. standpoint and for anyone that wants to see Alabama get smeared standpoint. I think U.S.C. would lay it on 'em myself. Alabama wouldn't know what freight train hit 'em. As far as that Oregon and Oregon State info. you gave me, I didn't know that. No matter what concerning it, I would rather Oregon State win that game against Oregon because Penn State never has excited me with their brand and style of football; and I would rather not see an overpowering and snazzy U.S.C. squad play what I consider to be a boring style of Penn State team. To me, a U.S.C. vs Penn State is not a very interesting game at all. I would rather see what Utah is really made of; and some how they could get matched with U.S.C. myself. Nonetheless, I know that my preference of U.S.C. vs Alabama probably won't transpire, despite my wishes. Have a good day; and 'thanks' for the information concerning the Oregon State vs. Oregon game.

Re: BCS Standings - Nov. 16th 2008

deathvalley56:

The USC/Alabama game is probably not gonna happen. The Oregon State RB Jaquizz Rodgers is listed as "doubtful" for Oregon. The Beavs will probably also use Canfield as the QB in that game. He's not the most effective QB - but the other guy has been hurt. It will be extremely tough for the "Beavs" to beat the "Quacks" in this one. Besides, the Ducks are coming out in their new "outfits". They usually debut pretty good in their new unis. Should Oregon beat Oregon State - then we're gonna have USC vs Penn State in the Rose Bowl. That's a very good game for both. But, I really would have rather played a Big 12 or SEC team in another matchup. It's very unlikely right now.

Re: BCS Standings - Nov. 16th 2008

Okay; I understand too. I apologize for the misunderstanding ya, Bama_Babe; and I won't make it something that it's not; okay? By the way, speaking of T.E., I thought I saw him at the Ole MIss game the other day. But, I didn't have eough time to find out for sure. Ole MIss just put an Ole MIss whip ass on us, and by 17 points more than they Beat Florida. Well ....... we just got whipped and our Interception happy true freshman quarterback got knocked out of the game to boot. That's the only bright for us (L.S.U.), that while he was in the game, which for almost 1/2 the game, would ya believe it? He didn't throw a record setting 8th pick six of the seaon. He's still got seven pick seasons and holdin....... that is, for right now. You ...... have a great day too, Baba_Babe; and, by the way, I just returned from a VERY LONG trip to Baton Rouge. That's why I've finally just gotten a chance to reply to you, Bama_Babe. Later ...... and good luck against Auburn and Florida.

Re: BCS Standings - Nov. 16th 2008

Nice TT great game against OK...kiss your NC dreams goodbye the fluke is over

Re: BCS Standings - Nov. 16th 2008

I don't even know why I'm wasting my time responding to this.........but, even though I'm pretty sure everyone else understood TE
s joke, I just want to make it clear that he was kidding about the pictures.

Deathvalley, don't make this something it's not. They'll still be undefeated, and if they beat Missouri in the Big 12 Championship game, they certainly deserve it. They would've officially run the table in Big 12 and their whole schedule, no matter what luck to get there they got along the way. Great teams produce luck along with their great skill. Sometimes, if a great team's skill isn't there, somehow they produce (manufacture) their own luck. Beats me how that happens. It just does. So, if they win out, they should definitely be in the N.C. game, that's for sure, PFCP.

We (L.S.U.) could have lost 5 or 6 games last year, not just the only two games that we did lose (in triple overtime, be you me). We beat Auburn on a miracle pass on the last play of the game. We beat Alabama with just a few seconds on the clock, and we played subpar against Florida, and we got very lucky to get out of that game with a win. Then, we totally dominated Ohio State (Then, B.C.S. # 1) in the title game and won 38 -24; and I think that we could've beaten Ohio State worse if we didn't lighten up on them in the 4th, and call our dogs off of them by playing some replacements and by just not really trying to run up the score.

Re: BCS Standings - Nov. 16th 2008

I tell you what.

Re: BCS Standings - Nov. 16th 2008

I think PFCP and you, T.T., need a time out, don't ya think? He could get guys to play hard, but it often lead to them playing to the level of competition, unless there was a large disparity in talent.

Re: BCS Standings - Nov. 16th 2008

B.P., You make some very valid points if all your facts are true. If they are true concerning Utah's top 25 competition and everything, I agree with you totally, even though one of those top 25 wins, I know, came against T.C.U.. They (T.C.U.) might have had a good day against B.Y.U, but barely escaping with a 13-10 win. B.Y.U. is another team that's been over-rated all year, according to me. Nevertheless, Oklahoma, beat T.C.U. 35-10. I guess, based on those two scores, I would say you definitely make a valid point. Oklahoma, I would say, would kill Alabama, almost, if not worst than they beat T.C.U.; and Alabama is definitely over-rated. YOU'VE REALLY CONVINCED ME that a Utah vs Alabama tilt might be very competitive. That could be a very entertaining game between A WAY-OVER-RATED TEAM, Alabama and a LITTLE LESS OVER-RATED TEAM, Utah. Alabama just beat L.S.U. 27-21 in overtime, be you me; and I feel that Utah and L.S.U. should be rated about the same, 12th or 13th, with either team being 12th or 13th. TheMayor said that Vegas had them both Utah and L.S.U. (I believe that Vegas had both Utah and L.S.U. rated that way anyway) rated somewhere around those 2 positions in their poll 12th and 13th,; and I mostly agree with that whole Vegas poll except for 1 team. I can't remember what team that was right now (right off hand, anyway). But, that team will come to me, no doubt. But, I believe you've now convinced me concerning the Alabama vs. Utah matchup. I just didn't have all the information you just supplied me. I just felt that Utah was over-rated, but not as much as Alabama, for sure. Thanks, B.P.

Lookin' back at that whole Vegas Poll just then, I like it; and I pretty much agree with that poll, even though U.S.C. will not play in the N.C. game, unless some VERY WEIRD THINGS HAPPEN in the next 2 or 3 weeks happen. Of course, we go by the final B.C.S. Poll and some really strange things would have to happen for U.S.C. to get in there, for sure. But, we definitely go by the B.C.S. Poll, not Vegas or any other poll. So, however the B.C.S. plays out will determine the B.C.S.; and the bowl games as well (I would say).

Utah vs. Alabama looks good, though, now.

Re: BCS Standings - Nov. 16th 2008

Yes. Utah is just like Hawaii.

I will give you that we have barely won several of our games like Hawaii. The difference is we will have played 3 top 25 teams on the way, not the worst schedule in FBS. Unlike Hawaii (or Boise State for that matter) Utah actually has a line and a defense.

Alabama is not as strong as Georgia was last year either. Of all the teams in the top 5 Alabama is the team Utah matches up with the best.

If Utah is over rated, Alabama is even more so. The picture would be closer to what Boise State did to Oklahoma in 2006, only with a much lower score.

I liked the Utah State fans yelling over rated at BYU when BYU was only winning by 20. How is that for fan support.

Re: BCS Standings - Nov. 16th 2008

1Tomcat, ........Yeah ..... I did. 45-35 ...... Texas got alot of breaks going their way. I realize good teams make breaks. That's what happened in Lubbuck when y'all squared off against TT (39-33) on the pass to Crabtree from Harrell with 1 second on the clock. T.T. methodically marched down the field to beat Texas that game. Concerning the rematch with T.T. ....... and had it go the other way ...... that's a question that one can only speculate. That's 20/20 hindsight and that won't happen. On the other hand (We'll see this weekend O.U. vs. T.T.), we'll see if O.U. can beat T.T. (or better, will beat T.T.). If they do beat T.T., you could have a valid point. But, if T.T. beats O.U., they officially would've run the table on other 3 best teams in the Big 12, Texas (39-33), Oklahoma State (56-20), and Oklahoma (TBD). Anyway, what did Texas beat Oklahoma State by again ........... huh? I didn't hear ya ................. shhhhhhh (28-24, that's what it was).

P.S.-I even like Texas the best (I'm partial to Texas out of those teams). In fact, behind L.S.U., Texas could be my distant 2nd overall favorite team in the country. But, facts and numbers don't lie here.

If O.U. wins, it could be a real mess in the B.C.S. But, if OK beats T.T., because of the timing of the game (the schedule and everything), I'm sorry. But, because of this scenario (OK beating T.T., that is), I believe that OK will be at least # 2 then, and in the N.C. game, probably vs. Florida.
