What were the mysterious circumstances of his departure from Auburn? Or what were the rumors?
  • swamp_fox · 11 months ago
I remember a few Auburn fans ready to get rid of him: he dropped to 10 wins and they were afraid that he had done all he could do and headed for a downturn. Most fans were just puzzled as to why he was dismissed and angry with the administration; said he was being made a scapegoat.
About two years ago, I heard that he had been caught sleeping with Auburn coeds. That might explain the speed and secrecy of his dismissal and his not being snapped up immediately by other programs, but I would want to emphasize that this is unsupported rumor as far as I know.
Something quite serious must have happened for someone to have pulled a school through penalty phase maintaining such a record and no violations to suddenly and quietly be dismissed and apparently blacklisted among major programs.

The name of the school is UNA or the University of North Alabama Not Northern Alabama. It is located in Florence Alabama.

His comment of "the game was played on the beautiful campus of the University of North Alabama" isn't exactly true. I don't consider Braly stadium as being on campus as it is located where a middle school is and is also used by the local high school. Good luck to TB though....and good luck to the Lions. They consistently have a good team and I hope that's able to continue.
