Ben, that is true, so long as there are NOT more than 3 teams from the same conference in the Top-8. 2 seasons ago #7 WI got screwed out of a BCS game over #10 ND, because ahead of WI were MI & OSU.

Just so you know, I put this to the test today. I cut the grass today with a personal pace push mower, and then went through a conditioning workout. It took me 1.5 hours to cut the grass (2 bags worth), and the workout consisted of 8 cycles through the following 3 exercises: 10 medicine ball wood choppers, 15 medicine ball slams, and 10 burpees. That took about 20 minutes. It's 90 degrees in central Ohio today.

I drank water throughout and then made some chocolate milk after. I thought it was pretty good, and I didn't feel like yakking! ;-)

Thanks OU Ron Good article, heck so all those coaches I had were wrong about alot of things. Heck young folks can't abstain anyway-its only natural, probably helps their confidence levels as well. You deserve a point on that one, and it sounds like a more interesting topic for off-season than say a uniform change.

I agree,Tyrone better put something else in that milk, or open a can of Whup- ss.
Instead of drinking milk those boys ought to haul hay & dig post holes all summer, eat beans, rice & cornbread and venision steak- high protein low fat. Stay away from their girlfriends for about a week prior to the game. Then put money in the plate on Sunday and hug their Mamma's neck, then get plum mad dog mean and focus on victory and abstain from negativity, they might have a chance with the right attitude, diet, training and gameplan

Doesnt it though, i mean how long can you really hold milk down when it is hot outside and you are done running and devoid of oxygen and wish you never played football (water is hard to stomach then)

Notre Dame is guaranteed a spot in the BCS if they are in the top 8. A non-BCS conference champion gets in if they are in the top 12, 16 if a BCS champion is below them and no other non-BCS team is above them.

It is assumed that if Notre Dame is in if they get nine wins and are in the top 14 as an at large. If they go 10-2 they should be in the top 14. I think 2-10 would be closer this year. A non BCS team would be out at 10-2, though BYU was knocking on the door last year.

Their Bowl agreements are with the BCS, Gator and Sun bowls.

For the gator and sun bowls they are lumped in with the Big 12 and Big East teams as one side of the selection process.

Notre Dame lists the cotton bowl as a bowl partner, but the cotton bowl does not include Notre Dame in its selection process.

I'm Catholic; I don't "hate" ND, but I don't root for em either. Because it's the flag-ship Catholic university, it does get a great deal of support from its fan-base. . . and otherwise. Say what you want about their NC's, the way they win, the way they lose, but ya gotta admit; those kids are playing hard every down. Ya don't have to like em, but ya hasta respects em.

I wonder why all of the apostrophe's (') came out the way they did.

Now they're all better. I don't get it.

And today, the apostrophe's are screwed up again. I'm tell'n ya, these machines iz out ta get me.

Jaker, it's not a question of you're having attended Marquette. It's a question of criticism coming from one whose team hasn't won a NC. My guess is the prevailing attitude is you can't know a thing about the game unless your team has won a NC. (I don't subscribe to that, by the way; some do.)

My suggestion: Criticize away, but make it factual (Watsa U basis?); make it constructive (Wata canna U do to imprrroova?) Udderwize, uze tawk'n smack, bro. Just FYI.

Agreed in my opinion it seems like Notre Dame doesn't want to be in a conference. Think about it , it has more perks now than it would joining the Big East ( assuming that would be the conference it would join as its basketball teams play there) Notre Dame hasd its own tv contract with NBC, which brings in loads of money as well as publicity. They alo do not have to win a conference in order to make it to a major bowl as most of the bowls have a clause that forces them to include ND under certain circumstances

The ND haters group population is at least 4.

Mine comes with the caveat that if they lose their NBC contract and join a BCS conference (or the Ivy League, if they continue as they are) my hate will be downgraded to apathy.

Till then a dream college football season include ND not going bowling.
