  • moo · 1 year ago
Is Jason Bateman being brought back to anchor The Ocho?
  • OU_Ron · 1 year ago
This means ND will be negotiating again, soon
  • Ben Prather · 1 year ago
    With what?
  • shiguy · 1 year ago
They already did. A couple months back and NBC went along with it. Still scratching my head on that one.
  • NMLSooner · 1 year ago
Jake fro the CBS deal blog:
"I'm glad to see the SEC and not ESPN gets to pick which games broadcast. We all know the "worldwide leader in sports" can be a little bias."

    Tough break Jake.

Even the networks know who the best conference is.

    Yeah I went there already.

...Vandy will be making close to "Notre Dame money" for the next 15 years.

Now that should keep a smile on my face at least until kickoff!
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
Wouldn't it be cool if VH-1 bought all the Vandy games that no one else wanted? Then we all could make jokes about the Commodores having their own network like we do the Irish having the (N)otre Dame (B)roadcasting (C)ompany...

Maybe Lifetime can pick up a few Alabama games??? Somebody STOP me...
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
Alabama should be on History Channel
  • Ramblin' Gator · 1 year ago
    Damn!! You stole my joke!

    Okay, just for that...

Arkansas games on Animal Planet. ;-)
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
They will be filming in south Texas here in a couple of weeks.
  • Zac · 1 year ago
I was thinking the Discovery Channel myself. "OH the Atmosphere, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH!!!!
  • Ramblin' Gator · 1 year ago
The Commodores on VH1? Is Lionel Richie playing NCAA football now?
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
    Say V, Say U
    Will somebody watch us
    Pretty please

The V and U should be switched to rhyme, but so what.
  • 4cornerz · 1 year ago
    Wow.........
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
I think it's almost certain that ESPN will sell off excess games to Raycom. They'll have way more games than they can possibly broadcast.

Unless they crank up ESPN-SEC sometime soon. Call your cable provider today!
  • Zac · 1 year ago
Gee, wata shame, more college football to watch. What'll I ever do? (Buy a multi-screen HD TV, by God!!! Who's coming over for beer & munchies?)
  • grcunning · 1 year ago
Thanks to f**kin Time Warner, I can't watch the Big 10...
Now I can get my fix watching the SEC.
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
Haven't we fixed you twice already?
  • Kevin @ Fanblogs · 1 year ago
Now that's just funny right there.
  • Zac · 1 year ago
An I don't care who yawl are...
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
You kinda did lob that one RIGHT over the net, GR...
  • Tiger_in_AZ · 1 year ago
who wants to watch the Big 11 (actually the little 2 OSU and Mich) anyways?
  • collegefootballfan1 · 1 year ago

  • Clemson_Joe · 1 year ago
I couldn't have said it better myself.
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
    I conquer.
  • Zac · 1 year ago
U bad ole "King Richard" U...
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
Yes my "Richard" is king, thank you.
  • Ben Prather · 1 year ago
    Did you mean "h"?
  • TigerEducated · 1 year ago
More like Oxygen, since their program's been on life support for so long...
  • paulwesterdawg · 1 year ago
    Biggest wins from the deal....

    A new ESPNU PrimeTime Slot.
    ESPNU goes HD this season
The SEC only agreed to TWO Thursday night games per year.

    Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

    Thanks for the HT

All I can say is, 15 million bucks a year/school, and living in the heart of the nations recruiting hot-bed, I'd say the SEC has gotten more than just a great deal over the next FIFTEEN YEARS. In how many languages can U say DYNASTY? (Kinda looks like Die Nasty, doesn't it.)
  • 4cornerz · 1 year ago
The players need to get paid or get some type of stipend
  • Kevin @ Fanblogs · 1 year ago
Yeah, that free education is screwing them royally.
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
Looks like the SEC Network will no longer be necessary. Why build your own if someone will let you use their stuff, plus pay you a king's ransom? The situation is akin to me wanting to start my own lawn care business and International Harvester will give me use their fleet of tractors.

The recruiting advantage this deal will give the SEC in time is incredible, too. Avoiding SEC games on television across the country will be like trying to avoid those damn GEICO commercials...
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
I don't care for that stupid beef hot links commercial.
  • Tiger_in_AZ · 1 year ago
Bama games should be on a porn channel...

they expose an "A-Hole" every time their coach takes the field
  • spreadeagle · 1 year ago
Good one Tiger. How about BAMA games on the WE channel. Tampax could be the sponsor. The crimson tide does take place once a month in most women.
  • Ramblin' Gator · 1 year ago
The crimson tide comes once a month and Alabama comes once a year. :-)
  • War_Eagle_Atlanta · 1 year ago
Most women that I care to date...

All right. You guys missed a good opportunity above for these 'channel' jokes. Where've ya been?
  • U.of S.C.1978 · 1 year ago
A couple hundred million here, a couple hundred million there. Sooner or later it will add up to, WHAT? 2.5 BILLIONS of one dollar bills? Mind boggling.
  • Tiger_in_AZ · 1 year ago
Can you actually believe someone wants to watch the big 11 football games??? (see above post) If I want to watch that, I'd go to the local Pop Warner fileds....same thing. Play good against each other and lose to the BIG BOYS of college football
