Fanblogs.com: Former Sooner busted on mudflap violation

Okay, just checking all this out. So far it seems to be very difficult to get a picture posted, put my blog in, and click enough links to post comments.

But I'll serve as guniea pig for now...

Can you explain in a little more detail, so that I can share with Disqus? On the picture, hard finding where to do it or in actually uploading/cropping a photo? With the blog -- hard finding where to edit? And then... "click enough links to post comments"?? Does that mean getting signed up and posting?

Sorry for so many questions - just trying to get as much info as possible so we can set up a "how to" quickly for the rest of the gang.

Sure. The first part, about downloading a picture: I browse for a picture, then select one. I click 'upload'. It then goes to this shadowy gray field where it has thrown my picture in the top left hand corner of this field. There's a white cursor box in the center. I move the cursor box over to my picture, then try to align it perfectly over it. I then select 'display preview' and it shows the image but with a grey border on two sides where it was cropped. I select 'save' because that's the only option left. There's no way to properly crop the pic. I don't know why you even need to do that. It should allow you the chance to save a pic and that's it--no editing of that pic. do that before you decide to paste it on this site.

The other problem is trying to put my my blog's domain name. everything is fine with that until it asks for mke to put a sub domain from disqus. I have no idea what that is or what to put and it won't accept anything if I don't.

To leave comments is extremely difficult. You should have a link at the bottom of all the comments for someone to leave one. I've left comments twice, and it took me a while to find out how to do it. I can't remember how I did it, so I can't explain the process. If it's going to remain that difficult, this site will go extinct.

OK. On the picture, I had grey bars at first, too, because my picture was too small. (I believe the tool they use is wanting a 130x130 image). So, I had to go edit my preferred pic and add a large white background (200x200). Then I just centered my finished pic in their image editor -- done. I'll email you an AU logo that is a little bigger and should be eliminate the grey bars.

On the domain name... not sure why that is. If you go into your profile (either by clicking your picture or clicking here: http://disqus.com/settings/ ) then you should be able to list your domain (just be sure to add http:// before you put the www part).

As far as leaving comments, I'm just seeing something totally different than you. Can you let me know what browser you're using (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Camino, etc) and maybe send me a screen shot of what you are seeing? Thanks, WEA.

GIve 'er a day or so and we'll get the kinks worked out. I probably screwed something up in the install, so if I ask 'em enough questions, it should get fixed.

Geeze I have zero tolerance for drunk drivers. If you wanna kill yourself thats fine but the amount of other people you are putting in danger because of it is unacceptable
