Thanks Kevin.....appreciate it. Yes, national champions...it may never happen again.......some of you posters are angry I feel.........so much hate........all we did was beat like 5 or 6 league champs......nobody gave us a chance......in the history of NCAA sports, no team has ever done what this team did. Never has a team seeded as low as we were win it all. I shall continue to wallow in a championship atmosphere
not for a mere 15 minutes as some of you would have me do but for 365 days......until the next College World Series. As far as the picture coming in a little better for me, ESPN would televise the game no matter who was playing....blue blood......green blood........orange blood. It doesn't matter. I'm not about to thank the SEC for anything. Thanks to the NCAA for putting on such an awsome tournament. GO BULLDOGS

Balldogs, the key for Fresno to beat Rutgers: Get to QB, Mike Teel. He's in his final year; he's improved every year in every category. He has one of the best group of receivers to throw to for any QB in CF. Though Rice is gone, it is believed he'll still have a good RB or 2, with which to work.

Now for the good news: He lost almost half of his O-Line. If Fresno employs a controlled/attacking scheme, they may be able to make Teel's life miserable. Pressure, sacks, forced INT's, this stuff should unravel him. Keep him at or below 250 yards passing (Yes, you have to shut down the running game.), your boys leave Piscataway with a win. If they let him complete over 60+% for near to, if not over, 300 yards + 3 or more TD's, your boys are toast. Not to mention, they're defense is expected to be good.

Trust me, as good as Fresno is, your boys have their work cut out for them.

Actually I might have had too much to drink when I read your post, and was inspired by an ankle biter.

For the record I indicated in my potential BCS NC post that I think that BYU and Fresno State could earn a spot in the NC game if a typical turnover at the top occurs and they start in the top 15, maybe 20.

Both of these teams, and Utah, Boise State, Nevda, and TCU can get to a BCS game with a single close early conference loss.

If we are counting championships in sports that no one watches, lets count Utah's 10 NC in womens gymnastics. Otherwise we should stick to Football and non BCS teams that actually have won a BCS Bowl.

By all means, enjoy the hell out of your 15 mins of fame and glory...and the Disney movie that's sure to follow....but please don't turn back and take a crap on the very folks that made that commendable acheivement even matter. It's just not good form.

Perhaps some perspective is in order: college sports matter because of the big conferences, their members, and their respective followings---that's what comprises the "infrastructure" that the occasional Cinderalla gets to ride to glory. To illustrate: ESPN aired that game in prime time, because UGA was in it. Othewise, that game's on in the afternoon, on ESPN U or some such. They aired the Col. World series at all, because all those big bad blue blood conferences participated in it. Otherwise, it would've gotten about as much play as your softball c'ship.

The picture starting to come into a little better focus for you there, big dog?

...aside from that, enjoy the hell out of that c'ship. They are special, and very ellusive.

....and FWIW, I'll be sure to watch and own the movie when it comes out. Great story

War Eagle Atlanta...let Balldogs1 make it! He sounds like good people! Fresno State will never probably play for a National Title in football because it is design for the Major Six Conferences to. You gotta love the head coach's mindset: We will play anyone, anywhere! Even Robert Stoops can't say that! Many of the Major Six coaches can't say it!

Let’s see, the baseball players at Fresno State can play for a national championship but Fresno State’s football players cannot because they are not in a BCS conference. What a system! Congratulations ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big XII, PAC 10 and SEC it is clever of you to relegate half your competition as “second class” so that you can maintain your recruiting advantage. Congratulations to the BCS conference commissioners, with the help of the media, you have suckered us all into believing that it has to be this way. Please Congress, for the good of sport and the athletes who play them, rescue us from this unsportsmanlike conduct.

WVU will have to get passed your Sooners 1st, me thinks. Were they to play again, I wouldn't expect the rematch to go quite the way the Fiesta Bowl went.

Did you happen to see ESPN has their revised pre-season Top-25 out. Not only did ND make the list (at #25), but OK was ranked 3rd. In addition, between OK & TX (ranked 11th) are 2 more Big-12 teams: MO, & TTech. Not bad respect for your conference, not to mention the Big-12 South.

OH, yeah, the mushroom cloud: I thought you guys would get a kick out of it, being as I work in Nuclear Power and all...

Kevin, it's not what the people belive, it's what the Fresno
State Football team believe.....and if you haven't heard, it's in themselves.
Case in point: A fan was overheard saying "..that team (FSU Diamond Dogs)
will be home by Wednesday (June 18th)"... in other words an early exit from
the tournament. Somebody forgot to tell [them]. Bulldog pride runs deep in the
veins of our blood. You wouldn't understand if you're not a 'Dog.....it rubs off....we
pass it on to the next generation.......so you really don't have to say anything
