You more than got it Ben, In fact, your analysis is probably DEEPER than my little story. If you had offered up some statistics in your dissection, it's entirely possible that you could have further helped the little boys in their attempts to determine the temperature, depth, and relative clarity, of said water.You gotta admit that the boys "analytical tools" (betcha never heard a dick described that way) are probably not worthy of the measurements they are claiming to be making.

Ok let me see if I get it.

The two boys are making comments on a river (the ACC) that they shouldn't have any direct evidence of given the story. They are fans of another river (the SEC and teams that went 1-1 specifically against the other "river"). They shouldn't make comments about the first river (the ACC) that they have no direct evidence of and are simply making because they are homers of it's geographic rival (or the closest thing to it). Am I getting the gist?

Glad you asked, but you'll have to go to my homer site to see it. Things like that aren't big enough for the forum here.

I will say that I am quite impressed with the hires that Chizik has made so far, especially with Gus Malzahn as OC and Ted Roof, formerly Duke's HC, as DC.

In the end, it's still alcohol, but some people swear it's something more. I want to try for myself. I'll have to ask for it at my local joint. I haven't noticed any pretty girls dressed in green in the liquor store pushing it like a street dealer.

Did you and Mrs. Mayor not care to portake? Were the other couples doing it straight, or mixed? (the alcohol, not each other...)

I watched the Green Fairy work it's magic at Lake Tahoe on Saturday night. 3 Couples came in to the bar I was at...dared each other to drink the green. 30 minutes later the bar was basically on fire. These 6 people went bonkers. Hysterical to watch...

True. They also lost to middle of the pack Wake Forest. I don't know if you watched BC the last 2 games, but they were playing without their QB and they looked absolutely anemic. It's their own fault for not having a backup that is worth anything, but the team that took the field against VT and against Vanderbilt would've probably been below Duke if they'd played the entire season like that. Conference depth is measured over the entirety of the season, so it doesn't much matter, but it's worth recognizing.

Just out of curiosity, I'd love to see Florida, Ole Miss, Georgia, etc. play without their starting QB. There are plenty of them across the country, and again, there's no excuse to not having a capable back up, but the reality is that most teams don't have one. Take away the QB and you've beached the whale that swam so powerfully through the season. Miami (by his own volition) and BC (via injury) got to show how that works out this season. I'm sure we'll see it again next season with other teams. It is truly a special team that can recover, and BC and Miami proved that wasn't them.
