  • msloan1283 · 11 months ago
Really? As good as you can get?

Georgia Tech's not the best team in the ACC or anything
  • Jason · 11 months ago
GA Tech will definitely be a team to watch. Grats to Paul Johnson on the contract extension.

Man i agree clemson was overrated ,and so is va tech ,miami beat va tech, and GT ran for like three hundred against miami on a primetime stage they totally missed by picking va tech to play bama instead of GT

VT committed some months ago. I can't believe no one else in the SEC wanted to make a trip besides Alabama again...

Have you seen the other OOC opponents-to-be on Bama's schedule for '09?

    ...We NEEDED this game.

    ;)

The Citadel not available next year?

    Wait. That's OUR team...
  • Bama_Babe · 11 months ago
Even better....UT-Chattanooga, a team that The Citadel BEAT this year.....

This is a match-up made in heaven...if you have a healthy love for the other side of the ball; i.e. DEFENSE!!! Bama will lose a lot of personnel from this year' "O", but the defense promises to be solid once again. This one could wind up looking like that epic game between Auburn & LSU a few years back. So long as some friggen official doesn't screw things up, there'll be lots of happy CFB fans after watching this one.

GOD! This season isn't quite over, and already I can't wait for next season!!!!

I like this. Gators really have a pattsy of a schedule next year. Id like to see them beef it up like this.

On a side note of schedules, I cannot wait for 2010 when UF takes on the USF Bulls. This whole debate needs to be settled ASAP. I could not stand the band wagon fans roaming through Tampa last year.

Play USF and lose and you expose yourself but win and everyone says "oh they won and they should have won, yawn". Exciting for USF to win and UF simply gets to defend their honor. Should stick to not playing them like us!

It shouldn't be an issue. Neither Grothe nor Selve will be playing for USF. Then again, Tebow won't be playing for FL either. So, it just might prove to be an interesting match-up.

As both an Auburn and Miami fan, I hate both Bama and VT. Yet I cannot deny the fact that this is a great matchup.

Hate is a mighty strong word. We play good ethical, solid ball. good or bad it is always a fair game with Bama. Why hate, read about us, watch us, even question us and hope to beat us, but hate, we are sec family come on if auburn cant pull it off why not bama or visa versa, we are all from the great state of Alabama roll tide roll
  • Cobia · 11 months ago
Ok maybe I don't hate bama, but they are a rival and a such I don't like them. I was actually rooting for Bama in the SEC championship vs. UF.

Good Luck in the upcoming 2009 season. Looking forward to another great Ironbowl. Its the best game of the season. Our teams are viewed across the nation every year. GO ALABAMA>\

It is good for Alabama to go out and schedule Virginia Tech. What's the problem with this game? Virginia Tech is a traditional Top 15 team and it can only benefit Alabama's SOS when the computer goes to figure in SOS. It's a real good schedule for both teams. I do believe that both teams are playing in BCS Bowl games in 2008 (or is it 2009?). You can't do much better than this. It's too bad that more of the top BCS teams don't schedule these kinda games. LSU did step up and manhandle Virginia Tech just last year. That game did help to puch LSU over the top. The big win over Va Tech was never forgotten and the pollsters did put LSU into the National Championship game despite their two losses.
