Actually a prettty good hire for Iowa State. Rhoads is an Iowa guy and seems to be pretty happy about it. He also coached at Iowa State for a few years.

Right now... he's headed to the house for Sunday dinner. I talked with a couple of guys who are closer to Auburn and the consensus is that Tubs won't coach at all in 2009, and may not return to coaching at all.

Well, for those of us who thought IA St was gonna hire Tuberville, how close can you shoot without hitting the target? It doesn't get much closer than this. As for Chizick, if he does as well at Auburn over the next 2 years, as he did at IA St, heck if he does as well as Tuberville did this year over the next 2 years at Auburn, Ben's right - Rhodes will likely be Auburn's next HC.
