I don't think he did have a losing season. :P
Also he hates tennessee and that is his gator side that has him loathing Tennessee. I think he hates Tennessee worse than UGA or FSU. FSU wasn't the rivalry it is now when he played there. Soon maybe we will get tired of losing and cancel the series.

I was alluding to Zook, and I'll give him more time but Randy Shannon looks like crappy coach/good recruiter. And yeah we lead Florida/Miami by far in recruiting this year (so far) and everyone in our conference and we are beating Miami (the only one who recruits at our level) and losing to the rest of the ACC far too much. It's not one upset to Cal, UCLA (both of which recruit well but Wake Forest. They aren't even tapping the bottom of the barrel. They move the barrel and see if anything leaked out. Bobby is long of tooth but I have resigned myself to him until Joe Pa dies and Bobby catches back up. We got the healthier dinosaur I think.

LSU, Georgia and Florida have led the SEC in recruiting for the last several years overall. Tennessee has done fairly well and Alabama is starting to move to the top. Auburn has never really been fantastic in recruiting. They seem to have coached the players up. The premier teams are always the ones that recruit well - usually. I don't mean any disrespect here, but Florida State still has very fine and talented football players and can't win, and I think you might be alluding to that. Well, Bobby Bowden is getting a little long of tooth. But generally, the teams that do recruit the best, are gonna be some of the very best teams in the country.

If you listed who you thought were the Top Ten teams overall for the last several years, all of those teams might be in the Top Ten of recruiting, sans teams like West Virginia and Boise State - which play in weak conferences.

War Eagle Atlanta, we discussed the dynamics of the SEC West last season at great length and I suggested that Tubberville would leave at the end of last season. Looks like I was a season behind. I'm not saying it was ALL Saban, but you have to admit there has been some restlessness on The Plains of late and this year was just off the chart. I heard about a month ago that Butch Davis wanted into the SEC and that the two positions he was interested in were TN and Auburn. That would be a great hire. Good luck on your new coach. What ever happened to TE the LSU fan? Haven't seen his posts lately.....

That bad boy was JUST opened up...But, we are such second class citizens...its the first Hooter's I've ever heard of that doesn't serve the "whole Menu"...Whatever that means...Like I go there for the food or something...
