I think the TE not going out of bounds really hurt the Sooners in the RZ this last trip. It forced them to burn a TO, leaving them with just one. Had he gone out, the Sooners could have considered an option toss or similar with that extra TO in their pocket.

I really can't point to anything too egregious. I think they missed one PI call against Florida, but that was a bang-bang play. The unsportsmanlike was a tight call, but both teams were warned prior to the game. I haven't seen a completely BLOWN call.

How about on the drive where OK got sopped on 4th & GOAL i think it was the 2nd down play Spikes was pancaked & he got up & did a punch/slap to the OK lineman. The Umpire saw it b/c he ran in to separate them.

The rules are the rules. Tebow took his helmet off in the field of play. That's a penalty, end of story. That 15 yards makes that field goal a whole lot tougher.

I don't know how you can rank Texas at #5 and tOSU at #15 after watching Monday night's game. Either Texas would have to move down a few spots, or tOSU has to move up a few spots. Take your pick.

OHST was #10 going into the game with TEX. They only fell 5 spots. TEX was ranked #3 and fell 2 spots, since their win over a #10 team wasn't as impressive as UTAH's win over a #4 team.

Texas Tech was obliterated, BSU got beat by TCU in a non-BCS bowl, Georgia sleepwalked by a MSU team tOSU wiped out 45-7 earlier this season, Bama was heavily favored and laid an egg.

tOSU had a 4 point lead, and got beat by a TD pass with 20 seconds left in the game to a Texas team many said was supposed to annihilate them, and who many felt should have been in the BCS championship game. Texas was favored by 9.5.

Sorry, I'm not seeing it. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

With the Pairity Sandwich that is CFB nowadays, I have no problem putting the Buckeyes anywhere between #11 and #20. That just so happened to be where they ended up when I looked at the records, etc.

I guess I should have been clearer: This is how I think the AP Top 25 will shake down, not what actually should be...

Remember Texas had one loss and tOSU had 3 losses.
You and I both knew the Fiesta Bowl game would probably be close. Tressel and Brown typically play that way because they know they can usually outlast the other team.
The beauty of playing the game on the field is that you just have to win. When the game is played in the polls, beating the opponent unconscious long after the outcome has been decided is called style points and can get the wrong team in the BCS game.
BTW, OU didn't get 60 points tonight. In the red zone Florida played great D.

Well I am bummed, season is over. I am watching the College Game Day crew as I can't stand the pro's on Fox talking about CFB. It looks they are up in Jacksonville???? They agree USC is the best team in CFB this year. I agree with that but the system is what it is.

Great job again this year Kevin. Can't wait for next season everyone.

Congrats to Florida. I was really impressed with the offensive playcalling and schemes. OU not so much. That said, here's hoping they (UF) don't even get past FSU for the next 8 years or so.

Texas by 10, UF by 10. It was a good national championship game but looks like it would have been even better if it were Texas. Thank god it wasn't another boring blowout like the last two.

i agree. I oppose such a large playoff, but if you're going to have one, you need to invite every FBS conference champion. Then let a committee decide the other five teams. It's easy to understand, ditches the BCS formula that everyone hates, and ensures the place of undefeated teams in the playoff, and if you don't qualify, you don't have much of a claim to whine with so many at-large spots. It also renders the pollsters powerless and gives the subjective decisions to people who actually watch the games.

It would also cause a bunch of head injuries to members of the MAC or Sun Belt champion as they are forced to play Florida in the first round instead of a similarly talented team in an early bowl...

Oklahoma pissed that game away with a 4th down stone, a blocked kick, and another pick in the red zone...Neither team tried anything in the way of vertical attacks, and it came down to who executed up and down the field. That was Florida. Pure & simple.
