lane kiffin will fail at tennessee , because he doesn't have much talent in the state most of there players come from surronding states like there best player eric berry came from fairburn, GA so they are going to have to get guys from Georgia, florida, and louisianna and really how many 5, 4, and even 3 star guys who can play as soon as they get there are going to choose tenn over georgia, florida, lsu, or bama.

Well they haven't left for the bowl game yet, so I guess he didn't hurt it trying to lift a coat from Burlington Coat Factory. That's weird, both of these guys missed last years bowls too.

Besides Murray, DeMarcus Grainger is out of the game, I believe it's because of back problems......this is bad news...

I think you guys are going to have the gators running ragged, but I disagree. Murray is a huge playmaker and everyone is going to be needed.

Madu will replace Murray just fine, I just feel bad for Murray, this is the second Bowl game he will miss because of injuries....

Demarco Murray is going to have surgery and is out for game vs. Florida. That is a huge blow for the sooners!

I think the Lane/Monte Kiffin hire may prove to be a good one; the exception, not the rule. That said, and as someone else stated on another thread, the success of this venture depends upon the solidity of the relationship between father and son. Does Lane possess the wisdom to let his dad run the defense without putting his 2 cents in? Does Lane possess the wisdom to listen to his dad, when he offers his 2 cents regarding the offense? For that matter, does Lane possess the wisdom to find himself an outstanding OC, then, allow him to do his job?

Two issues stand equal with regards to TN's overall success: Can Lane make the right staffing hires? What will be the relationship between father & son?

That Urban Meyer thing w/TX, that's something else all together.

Regarding Kiffen, I remain skeptical about coaches that cross from NFL to NCAA and vice versa. I'm additionally skeptical about the emotional dynamic of a father working under his son. The situation in Knoxville looks bad to me.

Regrding Chizik, this situation is reminding me more and more of Zook's tenure at Florida. Something tells me Chizik will not last as long on the plains as Zook endured in hogtown.

Regarding the Texas-Utah matchup, so the story is that Meyer canceled this game 4 years ago to benefit the Gators today only so he can resign and take his dream job at ND? Wow! Urban Meyer is TRULY diabolical!
