My completely unbiased picks have the confidence around 28, going the other way.

I will say I have crunched numbers several times in several ways and consistently get to a value of Alabama typically performs 7 points better than Utah, but Utah wins 2/7.

I looked into plane tickets and they are around a grand right now and they were around 1300 last week when i looked. I wish the fiesta bowl would have picked them up again. then we would have just driven like last time.

I dunno, Matt. WVU went to Atlanta back in 2005 and beat the SEC Champ straight up. Though this year's AL team is not the SEC Champ, and is arguably better than that one was, there's no reason to believe UT can't take em. I'm not saying they will, but I don't think the Tide wins this one going away. I think UT is gonna show the Tide where their heart is. I'm even willing to bet that, while Bama will likely score early on, UT will scratch and claw their way back in it to the point that AL winds up hanging on for dear life.

Make no mistake. Bama got what they deserved. They had one hellova year; they played for the SEC crown with distinction; they just didn't make the plays toward the end when they needed to. That's it. AND, while your opinion has been noted, I think the NC has yet to be played, and that perhaps one of the two which should be in it, isn't. BUT, that's just my opinion. Either way, both games will prove to be ESPN Classic's. Count on it.

Utah has sold 12500 of thier 17500 tickets, 10000 of those before the bowls were even announced.
