Not to advertise my potential dorkiness, but they remind me of the jumpsuit uniforms worn in the first seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation, specifically since you mentioned 'capes'.
If you don't believe me about the 'capes', go find an old episode and watch it... it's twisted.

These uniforms are silly. Who comes up with these designs? OU Ron you are right! These uniforms do not co-ordinate. I feel these will only be around 1 year. Why they are determine to wear white at home? I don't know! Bring back the "yellow" jerseys with the white numbers/white jeseys with "yellow" numbers and the old 'yellow/white striped pants!

This one is a no-brainer. Even a UGa grad could tell that these UNI's need a serious overhaul. Doug/Paul, give us something that mixes tradition with the future. My gosh, man, have some dignity!

ga tech's old uniforms were one of my favorites. these new ones suck. the throwbacks would have been a MUCH better choice than these new ones.

I hate to say this but I think these GT unis are worse than ANY of the Oregon unis. Yes, even the combo that includes the dirty gold helmets!

I hate when they mix gold and yellow like they are the same colors. And those things would be hideous in any color scheme.

as ugly as they are it is a needed change for a program going a new direction. i have seen these in person and they are not as bad but still quite the sock factor. they have also changed the color of the helmets to match what is old gold, not yellow. this is a traditional color scheme for georgia tech and they will be wearing the white at home. the only other school to do that is LSU. wait to you see that old gold on the away jersey, it has also been rumored they will be rotating a 3rd navy blue jersey with the same patter. i have seen this one also and it looks great, i hope they actually use it.

With the exception of the "cape" looking thing, they almost look like Mountaineer uniforms from 6 or 7 years ago; definitely a step back in time, as Regan alluded to. More Yellow, Less Jacket, and NO Stinger!!!

I have been a yellow jacket fan for so long I bleed gold & black, I guess you get the picture I would like to see them back in the old gold & black again. It looks great with the gold helmets!!

To everyone talking about bringing "back" the yellow jerseys, and black.....As an alum, I have to remind EVERYONE that our colors are OLD GOLD and WHITE!!! The new unis are the correct colors. Our colors are not black or blue, those are only for accents. We are back to old gold and white. Oh well its....up with the white and gold... nice move!

Since GT's official colors are only Old Gold and White, I feel they should go back to the white jerseys with gold pants and gold helmets. I am thinking that the numerals used to be gold as well, but maybe outlined in either black or navy.The black or blue should only be used for accents or outlines such as numerals, names, stripes,etc.

Another comment I would like to make at this time is the fact that TRADITIONS should be honored. For example, in college football both GT and LSU have TRADITIONALLY worn White Jerseys for their home games since the late 50's and early 60's. Other college teams have occasionally worn white jerseys for home games, and there are several NFL teams that wear white at home including Dallas, Cleveland, Washington, Miami, Tampa Bay, and perhaps others as well. I feel that GT should remain true to traditions and wear white for their home games. However, I do like the throwback look with the OLD GOLD jerseys with white pants and white helmets. I feel it would be cool for GT to wear these uniforms on special occasions or perhaps 2 or 3 times per year.
