Had looked at it a couple days back, and at that time Orgeron was going to LSU, so I had dropped the LSU cudos in here. Had a little trouble with your response. Now, I see that he's gonna go with Tennessee afterall. I remember wondering, why he might go to LSU, over Tennessee. I had wondered if maybe he couldn't work with the younger Kiffen. He does seem to be excited about coaching with Monte though. Yes, this is a tremendous hire for Tennessee. The Vols are certainly on their way back.

Re: Orgeron hired as Associate Head Coach at Tennessee

I'm getty dizzy...

Re: Orgeron hired as Associate Head Coach at Tennessee

Yes... this should weigh heavily on Orgeron.

Re: Orgeron hired as Associate Head Coach at Tennessee

A great win for LSU over Georgia Tech. Once again, LSU in a somewhat down year, goes out and clobbers an ACC team in their Bowl game. This looms large. With Vanderbilt's win over Boston College, the ACC had a chance to make a statement, and did not do it. I think the SEC has won the games that mattered. This takes some of the luster off those previous wins over the SEC this year. The SEC is now off to their usual 2-0 start. As I've always maintained: the cream always rises to the top. This also makes Oklahoma's task seem even more daunting than I even originally claimed. With Missouri barely squeeking by Northwestern, and Oklahoma State being dominated by Oregon (I'm not even gonna count the Kansas win over Minnesota), the Big 12 may be in some real trouble with Florida. Also, LSU's rout of Georgia Tech looms large for both Alabama and Georgia. Florida may end up being a spectacular team with Alabama being very very good.

Re: Orgeron hired as Associate Head Coach at Tennessee

http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.ne...

Re: Orgeron hired as Associate Head Coach at Tennessee

That was the fastest stop I have ever seen.

Re: Orgeron hired as Associate Head Coach at Tennessee

He'll get booed extra hard when the Vols come to the Vaught next season.
