You got it Lennie another pre-season poll, they ought to stick to taking photos IMHO, althought they usually have Longhorns on their all-American team. Do you think that OU will survive undefeated Cininnati Bearcats - come into Norman this season led the nation with defensive takeaways42 including 26 interceptions. Won 10 games last season with wins over USF,UConn,and Rutgers

Oklahoma WILL WIN more conference games than Texas WILL WIN overall games! Oklahoma will go 13 - 0 with a National Title and Texas will be 6 -7 with a lost to a Big 11 team in the Alamo Bowl. Texas will have more players arrested than actual wins! Book 'em Horns! CRIMSON -N- CREAM TRUE!

Hey Lennie I'm just joking, I made a mistake theJayhawks play in Norman, my mistake, I was recalling from memory.Yalls schedule does look favorable,no Colo and no Missu, but I dont think anybody including the Sooners go undefeated, because after yall lose to Texas and Kansas, yall will probably lose to the Wildcats in Manhatten, before losing to the Aggies and Cowboys-my mistake OU finishes the season 8-5 or 7-6 and wins their bowl for a change.

Ahhhh, trash talking: It feels like the season has started already. It almost feels as if OK & TX are rivals in the same conference that play each other every year. OOPS!!! Silly me, they are...in the same conference...and all the rest of that.
I still think OK has the better road to get there than TX (Sorry, TC), which means the Horns had better win the shoot-out, if they expect to have a chance.

Ok, they have Utah 9-3 and Boise State 9-3 ahead of BYU 10-2??

Regarding Playboy's, Gary Cole, and his predictions, it's like any other pre-season prediction: just about worth the powder to blow it to blazes.
That said, I don't have any issues with where he places WVU, and having read what he's written, I have said just about as much in just about the same way. Some of the other teams, and how he has them ranked, I can't begin to predict, or even pretend to predict what he was thinking.
I don't see OK's schedule as being easy, but comparing their schedule to the rest of the Top-10's, they and maybe FL have the best chance at achieving the records predicted by Cole. Still, I don't see OK going undefeated. Like my Mountaineers, I think their missing just enough to stumble at least once.
GA, on the other hand, with their schedule (discussed by many of us at length), if they go 11-1, they should be ranked above the likes of an 11-1 OSU, FL, MO, or USC.
KS had a great, well deserved season last year. They'll lose 3 or 4, possibly even 5 games this year. They are at S FL, OK, NE, and MO. They host CO, TX Tech, & TX. There are no fewer than 2 losses away, and at least 1 at home. KS will be tough, but I don't see a repeat of last year.
MO arguably has as easy a road to an undefeated regular season. They do visit NE & TX, but don't even play OK, that is, likely not until the Big-12 Championship. I can visualize this prediction, I don't see them being ranked above USC.
I don't see a lot of love for the Big East (There's a surprise!!!). I would have thought S FL would be found in the Top-20 ranked about the same as Cinci. That Cole doesn't even show them in the Top-50 is ludicrous. In addition, I would flip-flop Rutgers with UConn.
Finally, BYU at 10-2 and not in the Top-25, that's just plain silly. But, it's a preseason ranking, and we already know what that means. T -12 days and counting!!!!!

I have to agree Clemson Joe, and where is TCU?, they play Utah,BYU,New Mexico and Oklahoma. They might lose 2 or 3 of those,but definetly a top 50 team. I also don't understand the math on their predictions, for example OU cannot be 12-0, there is a conf champ game and a bowl game so 14-0 , 13-1, or 12-2 I'm no mathematician, but it doesn't add up.

Clemson 9-3 15th VT 8-4 18th GT 8-4 25th FlaSt 7-5 43rd BC 7-5 45th Miami 7-5 47th Surely, somebody in the ACC will win 10 games, before the championship game. Last year Va Tech won 10 regular season games and so did BC. If those teams drop 4 or 5 that leaves Clemson with 10 or 11 almost by default. I can't imagine Clemson staying pat with 9 wins in this scenario. That would also put Clemson in the top ten. They also may be expecting to much out of GT this fast, one year into Paul Johnson tenure.
Florida goes 11-1 in a conference, (according to PlayBoy) that has 6 teams in the top 25, 4 teams in the top ten and they are ranked 3rd? Ohio State gets another shot, this time against Oklahoma. Hugh Hefner graduated from Illinois and also studied at Northwestern could there be some Big Ten bias.
