You get a life. He was "having fun" at her expense. If you think it would still be funny if that was your sister, mother, daughter, girlfriend, wife, etc., then you're as classless as he is.
Some people just have no idea what kind of behavior is acceptable, and all they care about is themselves. This act is the perfect epitome of the "me" culture that those with common sense have to endure from people like Maualuga today.

Y'know, I'm usually the last guy to be Butros Butros Ghali here on FanBlogs, but I have to say that I see where both of you are coming from.
We've all chuckled at kids and adults doing silly things like that. Then again, Tom's right. If someone did that behind my woman, or my mother, I'd be asking them to apologize or attempting to gouge their eyes out through that helmet.
I guess I'm sort've sitting on the fence here. I laughed at it. Thought it was priceless, as a matter of fact. Then again, I would've been pretty p!ssed off at old Ray had it been someone I cared about.

I will say that I'd love to hope this was a case where he doesn't always make poor decisions like that. I'd like to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but this was out in the open in front of a lot of people.
I'll chalk this up as being a very bad choice on his part.

Your generalization of entire team and organization has no substance. I think the motive behind your accusation is the tail whipping USC put on your Buckeyes.
The things student athletes across this country do for communities should not be overlooked. USC is a great program with great role models throughout the NFL ex. Carson Palmer, Reggie Bush, Steve Smith. I could call OSU classless because of Maurcie Clarett. Yet, his actions do not define Ohio State.
Come on man, I can agree that it wasn't the best thing to do. But, to rip an entire program.

Thanks, BamaBorn. At least they didn't get blown out, but I'm very pissed off at Heacock right now (DC). With 20 seconds left and a 4 point lead, he doesn't defend the goal line and leaves safety Anderson Russell on an island to make a game saving tackle.
I cannot tell you how crushing this was. The game was in hand, and it was gone in a heartbeat. I'm hating life right now.
Yeah, I know, he's trying to save face by attempting to put words in my mouth.

I never endorsed the actions of Ray Maualuga, in fact I think what he did in that video was mildly inappropriate. I find it very sad that you would try and discredit my "opinion" based on my age. I mean would my arguement be more sound if I was eighty? It seems to me that you should be thinking more about whether or not you're in touch with today's times, than using age as a fulcrum in your banter. Moreover I think there are much worse things in this world then a college football player's sideline shenanigans. P.S. TigerEducated's post made the most sense in my opinion.

The behavior was classless. Perhaps he rarely makes these types of decisions...but I don't think that's very likely. Only he knows, but it isn't a very good impression to leave someone when you make a choice like this in front of so many people. The impression given is that he makes the decision to act this way a majority of the time.
Once again, this is an example of the "me society" that we all have to endure nowadays. I sure as hell won't be teaching my son to act that way towards women, let alone anyone else.

....and ESPN says they "appreciate the apology"...yet no comment from Ms. Andrews or her Father. 30 years ago, I would probably have thought it funny. Today with a 29 year old daughter trying to make it in the corporate world...not so funny.

But the La Times is the one who removed the video because "the video is not appropriate to the Times principles and standards". I take that to mean it was more than just dancing. You and I both know he was acting like he was......what's the politically correct statement here....."hitting it". Apparently they do see the big deal.
Ah well....at least he allegedly spoke to her and apologized. I would love to hear her take on it though. Then again, she may have just laughed it off too.
