I know I'm late to this thread - but this is a class-less, taste-less, gut-less move. Any time, ANY TIME anyone makes fun of another person *literally* behind that person's back,....they are useless, weak, fools. Grow some nads and pull that crap in front, not behind - when the person who is the object of your joke doesn't even know you're there - and then maybe you'll get a yuck from me. Maybe. But the behind the back stuff just categorized you as beneath contempt.

....and ESPN says they "appreciate the apology"...yet no comment from Ms. Andrews or her Father. 30 years ago, I would probably have thought it funny. Today with a 29 year old daughter trying to make it in the corporate world...not so funny.

If it was an UO player I would be very upset at this classless act...but then I don't expect the same from the Boys of Troy. Typical jock low brow humor. Would this be tolerated at your Alma Mata? Think about it if you were the AD, with a daughter(s)...how would you respond? Would you tell her mother to "get over it?"

Oh, I don't dispute the intent of the act. I'm just saying that he did it as respectful as possible, given the intent. Much more respectful than say I would, if I came up behind her in a bar in Atlanta and my friends were watching me...

Well you say it was blown out of proportion, which is to say that it was an innocent act of "dancing" which shouldn't have warranted the attention it's gotten.

But the La Times is the one who removed the video because "the video is not appropriate to the Times principles and standards". I take that to mean it was more than just dancing. You and I both know he was acting like he was......what's the politically correct statement here....."hitting it". Apparently they do see the big deal.

Ah well....at least he allegedly spoke to her and apologized. I would love to hear her take on it though. Then again, she may have just laughed it off too.
