The computer ratings are heavily dependent on the middle of the conferences. The SEC has nothing besides Georgia, Florida and Alabama. Vandy lost to Duke, Auburn is terrible, S. Carolina squeaks out wins vs Wofford??

The SEC was over-rated coming into this year, and its showing.

The Big Ten has a better middle part of the conference. Michigan State, Northwestern, MInnesota are all solid teams this year.

I just want to clarify history here, It was not a civil war. The south was attacked by the north, we still refer to it as the "war of northern aggression " here. Some students at the Citadel fired the "shot heard round the world".California, was irrelevant, and still is to most of us.

I know its difficult when what I say is so irrefutable, but that doesn't premise you to make things up. I ASUMED you were viewing porn because it seemed like a logical reason for you being distracted and totally misinterpreting what was said. Doesn't seem like such a farfetched thing to me. And then with BC I stated twice it was merely a hypothetical example, but I guess you missed that. I don't know about the other schools, but here we have a 10 year deal with A&M in Dallas and a home and home with TCU. What does anyone in the Big East have to offer in order for us to turn them down in favor of one of your guys? We can pay a lesser local school way less than we'll brink in, and use as a recruiting tool.

Of course he's a "yankee" just like Arnold is. I think that I put that in the post. They're all "yankees". They were all "educated" at Harvard. That is why everything is such a mess. Now, it does seem as if we still have people, who are oblivious to anything being wrong. These "educated yankees" have completely bankrupted the country. What they all really are is "criminals". I'd try each and every one of them for "high treason", along with the CEO's and lobbyist' of any Corporation, that ever offered any politician a bribe. After the trial was over, I'd offer them up to the "convicts" in every State Pen in America, to decide what to do with them all. The Judges in this country are not fit to decide anything - and they'd be on trial anyway. So, the point is, is that it isn't any "one person" who is responsible for anything going wrong. There are just a few - and they hold most of the money that is in the world.

Do you really mean "SEC" defenses or do you mean 'CERTAIN" teams defenses who happen to play in the SEC. B/c if I remember correctly I think TX did run up the score on a SEC defense.

That is not what Tidehawk said. He made an incorrect statement when he said: "Speaking of 3 in a row, what was the only conference to win 3 National Championships 3 years running? Why of course, the SEC."
As you should be able to read he said THE ONLY to win 3 in a row. That is a flat out lie. I find that is what some pro-SEC people do on here...they spit out lies to make themselves feel better about their conf. I wouldn't not have had a problem if he just said something like...The LAST conf to do it...do you understand?

While I have not heard about the USF thing I do know that our OCC schedule is packed already. We do have one slot open here & there over the next few years but here is FSU OCC sch the next few years. As always Florida will be on there.

Its like a Championship game every week for Longhorn fans

Yes i know, what's good and bad about that is that many of those were in the Interstate rivalry games as mentioned already and bowl games. But thank you for making another interesting point as you are probably correct in your assumption as to why more are not played.

On a side note FSU is adopting some of the traits as their neighbors as it was announced today that they put up a verbal "hand to the face" to USF when contacted about a neutral site game. Instead they wanted to get Florida Atlantic.......apparently they want a game that is going to pack the jacksonville stadium. wait what?! Ya because that statement makes sense. I'm sure the FSU will be selling their homes for a ticket to go see....Florida Atlantic....

I wanted to submit Rivals.com, and their list of schools by recruiting class strength. i wanted to make the case that SEC schools do very well in the top twenty. I wanted to further my case by pointing out that any coach with a lot of top recruits, is probably going to be OK. Sorry guys, some homer at Rivals has decided to change the website. I cannot even find that list now.

In case you are not aware of this: since the BCS era began in 1998, and counting games through the 2007 season, the Big East owns a 15-13 edge over the SEC in all games played. This might be the reason why your conference cannot get more games. Start rollin' over like a Division II or Sunbelt opponent - and your sure to get more games.

I think it should be pointed out that of these "tough" OOC games, the SEC lost all but one. Even if you would like to claim courage, the results argue against the point of conference strength. The results show that when SEC teams play outside of their SEC comfort zone, they tend to lose. If the SEC is truly as dominant as being argued, they should win at least the majority of games against their "tougher" OOC opponents.
