They need to beat UGA and LSU to do that then we'll talk. Just take it one game at a time and don't worry about it till after the SEC title game if we lose after we're number 1 it then really doesn't matter. And a about coaching not being able to overcome talent all over the field. How about them Beavers?

Re: SEC coaches need to do their laundry

Up until 2 days ago there was a law that said 52 counties around ATL I think have to use a "cleaner" gas and with the issues with the refineries being shutdown, there was not enough of it. So like idiots our elected officials waited until EVERYBODY went out and filled their cars up about 6 days ago before they lifted the law. Then we were almost out with no sign of much being delivered in. Certain stores around have gas. I stopped today and the store only let me get $15 dollars in Conyers GA about 25 miles east of Atlanta. Purdue says its not as bad as everyone saying meanwhile he jumps a plane to Europe for the weekend. This really is knuts when you see store after store with plastic bags taped over their pumps or no prices listed on their signs.

Anyway, this crap is going to be bad tomorrow when the BAMA fans get here with empty tanks.

GO DAWGS!

Re: SEC coaches need to do their laundry

It has to do with refineries shutdown and damadged. Can you imagine? If they think this fuel crisis is bad just think what a hit to the economy that would be--loss on beer and Boone's Hill wine sales alone would bring the Georgia economy to a screeching halt.

It is weird though. Of course she screwed it up and it did not post. I had Youtube links and everything in there.
Anyway the whole point of it was simple: DAWGS run enough to make the passing game effective, Terrence "Manbreast" Cody does not do enough to disrupt the Georgia O, Georgia D keeps the Bama running game in check just enough for JPW to have to try to win it with his arm. Not going to happen!

This is really lame compared to the other post!

GO DAWGS!

Re: SEC coaches need to do their laundry

Okay, I know everyone vented about how much they hate grammar/spelling retorts, but this one is truly classic!

Re: SEC coaches need to do their laundry

blackdawg:

The answer is no. I have no idea how I started typing there. I was probably gonna reply to yours, when I noticed that Bamalodi needed some special attention, and somehow I just started blasting away. I personally despise the "who's got the best conference" argument. I've never liked the SEC chant in a game where we have won against an opponent from another conference. I don't believe I have ever attempted that argument in the past.

The only thing I will say is that USC, in my opinion, has a lock on west coast talent and the other PAC Ten teams need to step up in recruiting. In GA we slug it out with Tenn, FL, Auburn, LSU, Ala, Clemson, Fla State, etc. every year and we lose players like Eric Berry for example who went to Tenn., not to mention Calvin Johnson who went GT. We do get our share, but it is as competitive in the off season, as it is in the fall, and it's that way for everyone in the Southeast, not just GA.

In my earlier post I was defending Mark Richt, not the SEC.

Re: SEC coaches need to do their laundry

Bamalodi:

I would not count on USC winning the National Championship. That is an extremely tough road for anybody. It is quite possible that they will lose a PAC 10 game. USC has lost only to Texas in 05' as an OOC game in the last six years or so. The other five losses have all been to Pac 10 teams.

It's not exactly a cakewalk like everybody thinks that it is. PAC 10 and SEC teams have never met in a BCS bowl game of any kind. For that matter, I'm not sure if they've played any bowl game in the BCS era. We never have equally ranked teams (within the conferences) to ever line up against each other. It does not look like we ever will. Again, if Georgia, LSU, Florida and Auburn are the cream of the crop - don't those teams prop up the SEC? I think that they do. Therefore as it is claimed, that USC is the only good team in the PAC 10, how is it that we have the better record when we only have one team doing all the work? The truth is that Oregon, California and any other number of teams - can rise up in any year and be pretty good. This conference is not just locked into four schools. This year I think that Arizona might get into the mix.

Now, I do not proport that any of those teams are quite as good as the upper echelon of the SEC (except maybe Oregon) - but many of them are very good football teams. In fact, usually there is only one real bad team in the conference in any given year. This is how USC gets upset. Would they lose more games if they played in the SEC? Of course they would. They would have to play 3-4 very good teams each year, instead of 2-3 of a little lesser talent, and would probably lose one more game per year.

Fact is: this year is wide open. Southern Cal has the best chance of going unbeaten because the PAC does seem a little weaker. The year isn't over yet. All those teams may improve by the end of the year. If they get through that - they'll end up facing another monster team in a BCS bowl game. It's really hard for any BCS team to go unbeaten.

Re: SEC coaches need to do their laundry

Nope I remember it all! I believe that the SEC is the best conference, I understand that the PAC-10 has made strides and I repsect that. I remember that Cal beat Tenn last year like a step-child. I even remeber when the Big-10 had a conference outside of THE OHIO ST (???). I appreciate USC and the PAC-10 who wouldn't USC has carried that conference for quite some time however. LSU, Auburn, UGA, Florida for the past 5 years have been tough to beat and they happen to play each other. I watch them all even though I am in a time zone that a. I don't get to see all the games, b. I am in a timezone where I have to sleep I don't get to see the scores. I have circle of friends as well and they call me the professor because I forgotten more about colege football than they know. I appreciate the commentary and I see the USC winning yet another MNC.

Re: SEC coaches need to do their laundry

Naw man, it was Eastwood, he had this Russian dude chasing him in a moon rocket all thru the movie....

Re: SEC coaches need to do their laundry

Like I said, "I don't have time for the rest."

Re: SEC coaches need to do their laundry

Bamalodi:

Try and understand this. Do you really think your the only conference that beats the crap out of each other? I just showed you that the other conferences are all about the same. Is it possible that they beat the crap out of each other also? Yes, USC's OOC record props up the PAC 10 conference. But, the conference as a whole, is still batting around .500 - just like the rest of them. Do you need those numbers minus the USC record? There are very good teams in all of the conferences that are beating the crap out of each other every single week. I'm not going to argue the point that the SEC might have the top 3-4 teams each year. That is entirely possible. But if you do, then your bottom feeders are really not very good at all, and there might be more of them. Overall conference strength was the point. We all just get a little tired of this "SEC dominance" and "the PAC 10 and BIG 10 suck" crap - when none of it is true at all. It's all perception. You guys really think it's something when Georgia (SEC #2 - probably) beats Arizona State (PAC 10 # 5 - probably). Or, you can remember that LSU beat Arizona or Washington State. So what? You probably think that Oklahoma's beatdown of Washington was really special. It's not. There about as good as Mississippi State. You don't remember that California blasted Michigan State. It only counts when an SEC team beats Ohio State. You only remember that BYU blasted UCLA 59-0. You can't recall that UCLA beat Tennessee. It's all selective memory. The rest of us on these blogs consider all games. We remember all of the games. We are not the total homers that you people are. I just gave you the facts. If you want to play "Ostrich", go ahead and bury your head in the sand, and keep babbling that SEC mantra that everybody else in the country knows is all BS. The numbers do not lie!

Re: SEC coaches need to do their laundry

See that lady wearing black?
