Fanblogs.com: Sooners, Tigers tabbed to repeat in Big XII

  • Zac · 1 year ago
It's awfully hard to argue with what I'm seeing here. I know TX fans will argue, and well may they be correct. In fact, I'm not certain with either KS's or KS St's rankings, but, as they say; it's a pre-season poll and like a$$ holes everyone's got one.

AW MANNN!!! I forgot to do the "O-TEE-NEE" thing for coming in 1st. Maybe next time. . .
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
You edited it to ad in the "O-TEE-NEE", right? That'd be pretty dumb to put that in there in the first post before editing it.

And you're right, I'm gonna argue this. Texas should have a much improved defense under Will Muschamp, Colt McCoy is in his third year starting and has good freshman receivers coming in to help out along with returning Quan Cosby. Experience on defense could be a problem, but the lack of players who saw playing time under the old defense may find it easier to buy in to the new defense now that they are getting playing time.
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Bevo Boy...you are right! The Texas Longhorns will be at the Big 12 Conference Championship Game in Kansas City, Missouri, in December! They will provide the halftime entertainment when they play a mini scrimmage with a local middle school and lose! William Brown will do some jokes and skits! Some Longhorns players will also be working the concession stands. Some might be out in the parking lot stealing radios from the vehicles parked at Arrowhead Stadium!
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
Did I miss something here? To try to make me feel dumb for saying that Texas will be in the Big XII championship ONLY WORKS IF I ACTUALLY SAY IT! Otherwise you just sound like an Oklahoma fan... ;-)
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Bevo Boy...Whonk, whonk, whonk, whonk, whonk, whonk, whonk....
  • JB · 1 year ago
Lennie get off the hater train man.......you always talk about forty acres and TC always making fun of OU, then why do you always talk about and make fun of UT fans???? We all respect your opinons, but like you said to us ( about the SEC thing)...I am tired of hearinig of how you think Texas is inferior to OU... we wont know until they play, so until then, stop acting like a child
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
JB...read my posts before you comment. I respond to 1Tomcat talking junk about Oklahoma, FACT! Second, you don't have to respect my opinions. The only one on here who acts like a child are you and 1Tomcat!
  • JB · 1 year ago
Well, i might not have to, but i do respect the opinons of others and i was was simply trying to state that you sound hypocritical sometimes whenever you complain about them but do the same thing yourself... not trying to start anything, here, so put the gun back in the holster, my friend
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
JB read my post. I respond to those jokers. 1Tomcat brings it up even when a thread has nothing about the Sooners on it, FACT. 40 Acres of Burnt Orange does not post as much as 1Tomcat. I can say the same about SEC fans. You can boast about how great the conference is and put others down BUT when others brag about their team's conference and put down the SEC BOY some of you guys ATTACK, factoid!
  • JB · 1 year ago
hahah yea we are kind of vicious
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
    No, just silly!
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
Just out of curiosity did some Longhorn fan or player take away your dolly or something? Maybe they peed in your cornflakes or something? I dunno
BTW Do you have any connection to Oklahoma University.
Its really kinda sad that you seem to have some kinda hatred against one of the finest academic institutions in the country and that you live in the Capitol area.
This previous post is really a fine example.
There is nothing wrong with working the concession stands during a game, its good honest work. These folks are trying to support their families, just like the people who are sweeping the floors or emptying the trash cans. If a Longhorn player is selling popcorn, then I dont see anything wrong with it, it shows character, to want to better yourself and work hard for low pay. Who knows that person working the concession stand might have a baby at home that needs milk or something.
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
1Tomcat CHECK YOUR TONE. I was about to ask the same question sort of. Oklahoma has won 76% of its games since 1950 compared to 71% by Texas so Oklahoma football program has been around a few years less than Texas BUT has a better winning percentage and 3 more National Titles. Is the superior or better by your standards? I have no hatred toward Texas or you! And I agree with you 100% there is not a thing wrong with selling food at a concession stand. I would even tip the Texas players since most of 'em will end up there!
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
Without an Arky named Switzer, your maybe even.
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
I guess what you are trying to say without a former Arkansas football player that was hire to become the Oklahoma Sooners coach the Oklahoma Sooners would not have been better in their total winning percentage and National Titles than Texas? I don't know...no one knows? That fact that it is...IT IS!
  • Porcine · 1 year ago
    Perhaps.

  • OU_Ron · 1 year ago
Muschump is a good coach, not miracle worker......McCoy is a good QB, but don't have a supporting cast, the two votes are voting from their heart, not their head, I think the south will be between Tech and OU.......JMO
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
Look at what Gene Chizik did during his two years at Texas; Will Muschamp is just as good (he has to be, right? They both came from Auburn). Texas always has a solid running game. The only time as long as I've been following Texas that they haven't had a 1000 yard rusher was the first year after Vince Young left, when Jamaal Charles and Selvin Young were splitting time. Texas also landed a couple talented recruits at WR. So could you elaborate on why you think Colt McCoy wil not have a solid supporting cast?
  • OU_Ron · 1 year ago
What makes you think he does, one receiver with experience and and a RB with very little playing time........Texas always fields a decent team, but this year, well they're a little short on experience....
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
Because teams go through this every year. You have a couple question marks for certain positions and you find the people to fill them. Were you this skeptical about Sam Bradford starting for OU last year or were you fairly confident in his ability, despite the lack of experience? To be honest, I'm worried about how well he'll be able to hang in the RRR after those concussions he suffered last year. Don't want you guys to have any excuses.
  • OU_Ron · 1 year ago
Bevo, I don't think you're being honest, I don't think you're worried about the concussion that Bradford received last season.....and as far as making excuses, you won't hear any from me, if we get beat, then congrats, but I really don't think I'll have to extend any to you this year..

One more thing, OU is only one game, Texas has several tough games this year.....I think you'll find out if Muschump is as good as you think..
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
I thought I put more worried, and yeah, that was to emphasize that I'm not worried about Texas. I guess I should proofread, but that makes me think of school, so I'm not gonna do it.
  • OU_Ron · 1 year ago
Bevo, here's something for you to read in your spare time, OU has a defense also....

    http://newsok.com/ou-defensive-line-talented-de...
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
You said it best OU Ron...MUSCHUMP! That is the minority speaking here in Austin. BELIEVE ME! Only a few think the guy is going to "turn Texas defense around". Yeah they willl look great against the weaker teams on the schedule BUT when they face the good ones..... MUSCHUMP will be one and done!
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
I think that's because so many people are (or at least were, I can't really keep up with Austin news living in IN) a lot more excited about the hiring of Major Applewhite that they don't fully appreciate the value of having Will Muschamp. Ask the Auburn fans on here what they thought about Muschamp as a DC (notice, by the way, it is not Muschump. That sounds like something a Bama fan would've said last year. lol jk)
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
I don't know every fan in Austin BUT I more to believe that they feel Oklahoma has a better team than Texas this year. Those hiring were talked about for a few days to weeks. But now that the hype has worn off....Major Applewhite hiring is more of a joke than actual excitement. Did Syracuse and Alabama "light up" the scoreboards? No...they got lit the (beep) up. Bevo Boy you are a loyal fan and that show heart BUT come on hiring Private Applewhite is supposed to put a fire behind Texas offense? I believe Muschump, I mean Muschamp, will have a bigger impact on the defense. You go on and defend Major Applewhite BUT after the Oklahoma game...you will demote him to Private!
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
Lennie, I was just using Applewhite as an example. Burnt orange nation seemed a lot more excited in the hiring of Applewhite than Muschamp and that's why I think Muschamp is underappreciated. I agree, hiring Applewhite as a RB coach is peculiar at best.
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Private Applewhite was a quarterback at Texas but coaching the running backs? Maybe William Brown isn't that "Whack" after all. He probably remember how ol' Private Applewhite preformed against Oklahoma. OKLAHOMA 63 texas 14!
  • GeauxTigers0107 · 1 year ago
I don't think Muschamp can turn it completely around in one year. It'll improve, for sure, but you don't truly start reaping the benefits of a good system until the second year in. The third year, even better. Or worse, depending on the system. But seeing Muschamps systems first hand and reaping the benefits of it, I'd say he'll do a great job in Texas. Couple him with Major Applewhite, who's quickly gained alot of respect among the coaching ranks at least, and the Long Horns will only get better!

Oklahoma is still the team to beat in the B12S.....at least this year, IMHO.

Oklahoma will be at the same level or a step or two above Texas. I will say for the next 3 years at least!
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
I wouldn't be so sure. Sam Bradford may start working for a certain car dealership that has employed past Sooners such as Rhett Bomar.
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Only if Texas players continue to terrorize downtown Austin. broke in to dormitories and steal television, show up high at a strangers wedding.
  • OU_Ron · 1 year ago
GT, you're right, under Muschump the defensw will improve, Texas always has good athletes but experience means alot, I think Texas will be third best this year, but should be back at the top next year along with Oklahoma..
  • Raider123 · 1 year ago
This will just make it sweeter when Texas Tech takes it all!!!!!!!
  • GeauxTigers0107 · 1 year ago
Love the air-it-out offense of the RR's. Anybody know whatever happened to BJ Simons (Symons?)? I know he got picked up by an NFL team but never saw the field as a starter. He was a blast to watch.

Texas Tech Has no running game and defense is not consistent! If Texas Tech had those...then I will agree with you!
  • Sooner_Girl_in_Texas · 1 year ago
I really wish Tech would get their game together. Their passing offense is fun to watch and can give a lot of teams a run for their money, not least of all OU. But you're completely right, without a running game and defense, they aren't going to go anywhere in the Big XII. I'd like to see them get their act together and have another powerhouse in the Big XII South.
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Michael Leach has been there how long? He was on Robert Stoops coaching staff and has not figure out that a team needs a RUNNING GAME and SOLID DEFENSE!
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
Texas Tech defense must be purty good, they held Oklahoma to 27 points
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Oklahoma defense is even better. They held Texas to 21 points!
  • Football Picks · 1 year ago
OU and MU seem to be pretty far ahead of the next best team in each division so at the top this seems right on and is there really any reason to talk much beyond the top spots?? I will say that a lot of talk about Texas Tech moving past Texas in the South seems rather premature. Until I see them stop somebody they aren't ready for that step.
  • BiG12FAN · 1 year ago
im not saying this cause im a fan, but if TECH has any chance this is the season. i mean with two of the top players in the nation and all the starters they have coming back you have to give them something. i'm not saying they will win the big 12 but give them some credit. as far as UT McCoy has had the team but hasn't done much. i say Tech will take this meeting this year. 34-21
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
I would like to see Texas Tech hang half a hunred on 'em!
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
I like it when Texas Tech hangs 34 points on OU.
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
I like it even better when Oklahoma hung 63 and 65 on Texas!
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
Big12FAN your right, Heck the 2007 Horns under McCoy only had 6,018 yards of Total offense and only scored 484 points. During his first year at QB 5,089 yds and only 467 points scored.
I guess the team hadnt done much under McCoy 1-1 against OU and undefeated in his Bowl appearances, enjoying back to back 10 win seasons.
Oh BTW McCoy is 2-0 vs TTech
  • BiG12FAN · 1 year ago
and tech is capable of doing so..... but i thinks its gonna be a tight game.
  • JB · 1 year ago
The thing is, if Tech racks up 50 points, they might give up 52.....
  • Zac · 1 year ago
Where's Tomcat? I'm surprised to see that boy hasn't chimed in yet.
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
I'm right here, been reading some of this stuff, BTW stuff is what you have to clean off your boots.
Sports writers have always predicted OU to win the B-12, after all they have the best offensive line and the best defensive line and one of the nation's premiere quarterbacks, so why do they keep getting beat by teams like Texas Tech & TCU??. I dunno ?? Whats up with all the Bowl losses??
Why dont they like Oregon, Bois St and West Virginia ??
The Cincinatti Bearcats will probably be next team to beat OU, I really dont give Tenn Chatt much of a chance, TCU usually beats them, but this year I dunno they lost alot of players to graduation. I really dont know much about Wash Huskies, but I'll be pullin for them and I hope they have Refs from the Pac-10. OU will once again embarrass other teams from the league with their losses and whining. Early prediction Beatdown on the Brazos OU at BU will probably go down in history as one of the biggest upsets.

Hello Sports Fans, I'm broadcasting from beautiful downtown Lebanon ( Tenn, that is )...
TC, that stuff that you're talking about is BS and you're spreading alot of it, tell you what, why don't we make a bet, similar to what TE and one of the Bama fans did last year, if Texas beats OU, I'll change my name for a week to I love Texas, and if OU beats Texas, you change your name for a week to I love Oklahoma.......Is it a deal ???????
Oh BTW, people here in Tenn hate Texas almost as bad as we do...

One more thing, we have to post at least 10 time during that week....Deal or no deal......
  • JB · 1 year ago
lol that is a deal you gotta take, TC i mean you gotta show confidence in your team right??
    :-)

But i do have to agree, OU did sort of make the BIg 12 look bad...whinig about not making it to the NC and then losing thier own bowl game...they showed they deserved it didn't they???
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
If any coach did any whining, it was Les Miles! That is a Fact. Did Louisiana State win the game? Yes, they did. I said it becasue I know that will be your response!
  • JB · 1 year ago
Lennie, what are you talking about, Les had nothing to complain about...please enlighten me
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Ol' Les stated: Our two loses came in overtime. Hey LSU got in because the National Title Game was in their home state. If the game was held in the Rose Bowl...Southern California would have gotten in!
  • JB · 1 year ago
Since the computer knows that and was thinking..."Hmmm this thing is in New Orleans so LSU has to go".....he was using the OT losses as justification for being a two loss team in the NCG.....does that mean he was whining about it.????..it was nothing compared to Richt, Stoops, and Pete
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
ALL was complaining! ALL except Georgia had a real reason to go. I am Sooner True and can admit Oklahoma, Southern California, and Louisiana State had legit points BUT LSU/SEC fans might think only Louisiana State had the real legit shot! How do you measure "whining"?

  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago

  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
OU Ron...why do you try to reason with 1Tomcat? 1Tomcat does not know much about college football in my opinion after that post. Oklahoma has been predicted to win the Big 12 South maybe 4 times including this year. The other times Texas and that is a fact. Even when Rhett Bomar and JD Quinn was KICKED OFF the team...Texas COULD NOT come through. Fact, Robert Stoops was not complaining about the officiating and the man had to hold a press conference to say so. If he was whining why would he fullfil the agreement with Washington? 1Tomcat has shown me over and over with his constant posting of his dislike for Oklahoma his inferior feeling about Texas. The Texas Longhorns are a joke and probably will not do anything of importance the next 30 years. The players and coaching staff are a joke too. Robert Stoops develop players and coaching staff. Look at the coaches that leave Oklahoma and Texas. The edge: Oklahoma. The players that leave Oklahoma and the players that leave Texas. The edge: Oklahoma. Texas again will have more wins the next 10 years compared to Oklahoma because they are scheduling teams they feel they can beat. I called him out personally on a bet. Gave him 5 to 1 odds that Texas will go undefeated this year in non-conference play and this joker wants me and every sane football fan on here to believe that Texas has a "TOUGH" non-conference schedule. Even though all the college football magazines and college football websites I have read and visited have stated that Texas non-conference schedule is a joke they are wrong and 1Tomcat is right. The thread talked about Oklahoma and Missouri repeating has the South and North Champions and he can't comment on that because Texas is expected to finish fourth overall. 1Tomcat cannot face the fact that Texas is on the downward slide. He has to try to make fun of Oklahoma because he can't find anything good to talk about in regards to Texas. They hired Private Applewhite and Willie Muschump BUT it does not matter. Texas is going to look great against those weak non-conference opponents BUT when they face the Big 12 opponents.....Baylor and maybe Oklahoma State will be Texas' only wins. So 1Tomcat new bet....If Oklahoma loses to Texas I will never post on here again and if Texas loses to Oklahoma you never post on here again. IS THIS A BET?
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
Well Lennie You said in this post that Texas players and coaching staff are a joke.
Listen to yourself Lennie. Texas is a far superior program and you just cant admit it.
    Coaching success
NCAA Div 1-A head coaches since 1990
    #1 Bobby Bowden Florida State 178-46-1 .793
    #2 Mack Brown Texas/UNC 170-51-1 .768
    #3 Phil Fulmer Tennessee 145-45-0 .766
The only NCAA team with 10+ wins 7 years in a row
These are facts, so when you say they are a joke it shows that you really dont know much about CFB and what a winning program is, because of your envy of The Texas Longhorns.
Even if you dont like the Horns, you have to respect the fact that they are consistantly one of the Best programs nationally .
No Team in the country OSU,USC, OU,LSU,Mich has 9+ wins 10 years in a row
NCAA's winningest teams 1998 to present
    #1 Texas 103-25
    #2 Bois st 102-24
    #3 Viginia Tech 99-28
    #4 Ohio St 98-27
    #5 Miami 94-28
Texas has finished in the top 15 each of the last 8 years
    These are facts Lennie
I dont like USC, or Ohio State but I respect that they are winning programs
Texas has the toughest schedule in the nation-fact
Texas faces 3 top 10 teams from 07 Missu,KU,OU+ Texas Tech and Arkansas not to mention Colo on the road and Sunbelt champs FAU
UT winners 6 outa 7 bowls including 2 BCS wins 4 straight bowl wins
  • JB · 1 year ago
You had me goin until the schedule part......no one can tell strenght of schedlue until after the season
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
I Agree JB, but this guy keeps claiming that UT has a weak schedule.
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Superior? Does Oklahoma have more National Titles than Texas? How many coaches have come from Robert Stoops' coaching staff? How many from William Brown's? How well are they doing? You talk about respect? What is Oklahoma record against Texas the last 10 years? So please explain superior! Are you interested in that bet?
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
    57-40-5. How's that for superior?
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Oklahoma 7 National Titles to Texas 4. HOW ABOUT THAT FOR SUPERIOR AND HOW BOUT THEM SOONERS< BABY!
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
The battle for superiority would be best measured in head-to-head competition, so I must say again, 57-40-5
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
I say winning percentage! Advantage: Oklahoma -76% Texas-71% and/or National Titles: Oklahoma Sooners - 7 Texas - 4. I know you did not say it but when it comes to football head to head: Advantage: Texas - +16 but that gap will be shorten soon has I feel Oklahoma is going to win at least 6 straight. My opinion of course because neither you or I control the future or knows what it will bring. OVERALL...Oklahoma is the better football program. The winning precentage and National Title are what I am going on!
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
"I feel Oklahoma is going to win at least 6 straight."

I'll hold you to it. I don't think that I'll be able to change your mind about head-to-head competition, especially since that would mean admitting that Texas is superior to OU, but I have a question: how can you be superior to another team if you can't even beat that team more than they beat you?
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Bevo Boy I don't even want to change your mindz! I am not even trying to! Most of the logical fans in ANY and ALL sports know superiority is based on CHAMPIONSHIPS! How would it sound if let's say Oklahoma wins the National Title this season, in 2008. "Oklahoma has just won it's Eighth National Title in College Football BUT has lost 15 more games to Texas." Texas football fans would be the only one who would care. Bevo Boy.....the Boston Celtics won the NBA Championship, right? Did you know that the Washington Wizards were the only team during the regular season to have beaten the Celtics more than twice. They were 3-1 against the Celtics! The Celtics won their seventeenth NBA National Title what did the Wizards get?
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
Lennie, that would be a great example if we were talking about the teams over one year, but we are talking about them historically. A championship only proves that that team had one good year; it says nothing about the team historically. Sometimes that team didn't even have a great season, they just came together at the right time to win the championship. Do you really think that the New York Giants would have beaten the New England Patriots if they had played a series? They just came together at the right time. Those championships prove that OU had 7 good teams. With only that information, they wouldn't know if the other years OU even won a game. How can you go solely on championships when it only proves one good year rather than a good team year-in and year-out?
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Bevo Boy you can continue with this as long has you want BECAUSE it's the only thing Texas fans can use to say Texas is better than Oklahoma. If the stats were reverse you would not be posting as much as you are. Texas is plus sixteen win over Oklahoma BUT Oklahoma is plus three in National Title over Texas. Since 2000 Oklahoma has been mentioned in National Title conversations. Texas might have BUT last year and this year Texas has not and is not and BOY that is a BLOW to Longhorn Pride. Texas will probably be mentioned next year so you can keep on trying to convince me like your fellow Longhorn fiend 1Tomcat is about the Texas Longhorns schedule being the toughest. So when Oklahoma win many more National Titles in football please you and the rest of the Longhorn Nation have the NCAA broadcast that Texas has more wins over Oklahoma as they hold that trophy high! Boy, I can only hope I am alive when Oklahoma overtakes Texas in head to head wins. Suicides among Longhorn
    nation will be HIGH!
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
"Since 2000 Oklahoma has been mentioned in National Title conversations. Texas might have BUT last year and this year Texas has not and is not and BOY that is a BLOW to Longhorn Pride."

In 2005 and 2006, where was the talk about OU playing for a national championship? What did that do to Sooner pride? And what I'm saying isn't taking anything away from a national championship. I'm saying that while OU may have more titles than Texas, it doesn't prove that they are better historically. It proves that they had a better team for those years that they won those championships. And, if anyone commits suicide because their favorite football team is passed by their rival in wins, they have a serious problem
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
It made Sooner Nation STRONGER! To have your starting quarterback and an offensive lineman kicked off the team because of violations and lose to your sorry border rival.....and still win your conference. What did it do to Longhorn Pride? You most hated rival had to players mess it up for everyone and you beat them AND STILL second best! Texas would not have overcome that type of adversity! NEVER! William Brown would have use it has an excuse instead of motivation like ol' Robert Stoops, the Big 12 coach for that year did! I agree with you on the suicide comment BECAUSE it's only entertainment! I gonna ask you this and i gone leave you alone...Is Texas playing football to win National Titles or are they playing only Oklahoma? Oklahoma has National Titles hopes on their mindz and Texas has beating Oklahoma and/or Texas A&M?
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
Texas should have won the conference that year but they failed to let Jevan Snead get experience when they had the lead at the end of games and it showed once Colt McCoy got hurt. If the coaches had let both quarterbacks develop as I thought they should have OU would not have won the conference. And the obvious goal is to win a national title, but I don't see how you can say that you are better than a team that you play every year and they have the records to prove that they are better.

1Tomcat...This is for your eyes only! Why does Texas keep getting beat by teams like Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Kansas State. This is the bets of all bets! I am calling you out! If Texas beats Oklahoma I will never post on here AGAIN! If Oklahoma beats Texas...you, 1Tomcat, shall never post on here, AGAIN! Is this a bet?
  • OU_Ron · 1 year ago
Lennie, just keep it fun man, no one gets hurt by just a name change for a while, besides, remember TC is just trolling again with those big worms........
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
I am keeping it fun, OU Ron!
    When Oklahoma has won,
Texas and 1Tomcat will be done.
Peace and quite, we can then all have some!

This is the world wide web- Lennie the whole world can see your post.
    Texas record against opponents
    UT vs OU 57-40-5
    UT vs A&M 73-36-5
    UT vs TCU 61-20-1
    UT vs TTech 43-14-0
    UT vs Ark 55-21-0
    UT vs Missu 15-5-0
    UT vs Bama 7-0-1
Whats funny Texas is 0-1 vs West Virginia but that was in 56 not 08
Yall are 0-1 this year and UT is 1-0 after winning 52 to 34 over a ranked #11 Arizona State

What is Texas recors against Kansas State?
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
    KSU 5-5-0
Whats OU's record against TCU?? Texas Tech ???
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
1Tomcat you seem to be good at it. You look it up!
  • Bevo_Boy · 1 year ago
    I don't think you'll like the results.
    OU 6 TCU 4
    OU 11 TTU 4
  • 1Tomcat · 1 year ago
Hey Thanks for the response, I guess OU won a few way back, because I remember Texas Tech & TCU beating OK here lately, like the last time they met, and the time before that, I'll go look it up but like OU is like 1-2 against TCU and 1-2 vs TTech there last three games. I know for a fact that Texas beat TCU & Texas Tech the last several times they met including last year. Last time OU played Texas Tech they got beat, same thing with TCU.
OU might get by one or two Texas teams next year if they are lucky. They will face TCU,Texas Tech,Texas A&M, Baylor & UT, OU might go 2-3 vs Texas teams next year and I'm being generous. If they win more than two I'll be surprized, even the BU Bears will probably whup them.

    Ha, I thought so!
  • Lennie Collins · 1 year ago
Hey Sooner Girl in Texas, have you noticed here in Austin there seems to be no excitement leading up to this year 's college football season? I apologize to you and all on here for getting off the subject! OU Ron is right. When Texas fans on here see the praise and glory going off the Longhorns, they have to get the focus back on the Longhorns even if they have to do it negatively! It took me awhile to figure it out but it's is true. SO to get back on the subject Oklahoma and Missouri have the best teams in the Big 12 this year and that is why they were picked. I am sure that the 2 that voted for Texas were bais to Texas and can't face the fact that Texas is going to be NO GOOD this year. Oklahoma will be going for their sixth Big 12 Championship! Texas fans on here can you say: "SIXTH"! I' LL SAY IT LOUD: " I AM CRIMSON -N- CREAM PROUD"!

The Tigers were the unanimous choice to capture the North, picking up all 51 first-place votes. Kansas was second.

The Sooners, who defeated MU 38-17 in last year’s championship game, picked up 49 first-place votes. Second-place pick Texas had the other two first-place votes. OU has won five league titles in six appearances, both of which are conference records.
