TE I totally agree, complete commitment from everybody is essential for the programs success.The full dedication from everybody from AD down to the waterboy- not to mention the guys selling popcorn-everybody means just that.
The fans and alums should be positive and welcome the change, because Gene's job is a very difficult task and he's going to need alot of positive support in order to implement his program successfully.

They'll have a coach who won't let his assistants sabotage a guy trying to implement it, that's for damn sure.

They'll have-as a staff-a dedication to the concept of the offense, and the philosophy. Which was not the case with Tuberville and his entrenched, tenured staff.

These guys will never learn, look what happen this year you tryed to run the spread with a power-I roster and now this will set them back another two to three years, until you get the right personel in , and with bama, uga, ole miss,florida, and you know les miles will have lsu back next year, the pressure is on to win now and not in two or three years. Auburn needs to be auburn and play physical ole fashion tiger football and stop trying to be what they are not.

Do What? Dont have the players? All I ever hear about is the SEC speed and the outstanding SEC recruits- Shoot didn't you know that?
Auburn is in the SEC #1 football conference with all the #1 players in the country
heck man were you been? talk to BC ,TE or half a dozen Fla fans
If they have a multi dimentional QB who can read and throw-no problem
Lord knows they have an O-Line,Running backs & receivers, now they have the coaches and most successful schemes in the game- They just need support from the fan base and a great QB

Don't worry. I share your skepticism that it can be implemented at Auburn...

At least Malzahn still believes in running the ball--something you doubly have to do at Auburn...

They still don't have the players to run this "spread" or whatever... It's basically the same packages as Tony Franklin's...

Why will it work now??? Tulsa was already running a very similar offense when Gus got there...

You know that little direct hike trickery is pervasive when I saw the Atlanta Falcons run it yesterday...

The down side about this hire is that Mitch Mustain is transfering to us next year...

Actually, it sounds good, but remember that Troy had huge offensive numbers under Tony Franklin, so it still remains to be seen if the spread can transfer to Auburn successfully.

Tommy Tuberville has one losing season and loses to Alabama for the first time in 7 years and he is "forced to resign". What the heck is that all about? Even their cross state rivals allowed their countries 3 years of losing to Auburn before they were axed. Auburn fans have this bloated expectation for the relevancy and the quality of their program. How many SEC Championships has Auburn won since the SEC Championship game was introduced in 1992? 1? 2? How many have they even played in? Anytime a Univ in a major conference like the SEC fires a coach that has been there long enough to establish relationships with high school coaches in the state the, expectation for immediate success have to be taken with a realistic approach. One more thins Auburn Fans, STOP LETTING Bobby Lowther get involved in your program, he is the poisoned apple from the tree of life from the garden of Eden. GIVE Chizik a chance. To be honest he is probably the best quality coach Auburn could have gotten seeing the unreasonable expectiations their fanbase and alumni have placed on that job. Good luck and godbless. Looks like Alabama will be padding that rivalry lead for the foreseeable future.
