If our SEC schools had more Tim Tebows in character and Christian values we truly could change the world. This young man is not afraid to stand up for what he believes and to stick his neck out for those wanna be arm chair quarterbacks to shoot him down. BTW I have always noticed that people want to grab hold of a winning team and claim it as theirs when they are winning but as soon as they seem to lose a few games or drop off the high perch the ones who can't or won't play and try to make a winning team appear to migrate to the next higher up team coming into notariety. I guess what they say in poker and that it is true the winners laugh and tell jokes and the losers just say.....deal those cards.

Not arguably in my opinion is there anyone with the grit and character who puts in on the line for God first and to support his team or beliefs more than Tim Tebow. I hope he becomes a real force in the USA for God by doing just what he does best, following his Christian principles and if he does (which I say he will) God will bless him immeasurably in the future. I am not a prophet but I can safely say GO TEBOW, I applaud your effort.

P.S. For those who think I may be hanging on to Tebow's coat tails, I am a TN VOL fan and just yesterday the late great Lame Kiffen left TN and all his promises are just as he was just jabber and he can go back to the land of fruits and nuts and be the loser he truly is, he should thank God that he had the opportunity to be somebody at TN but instead he is like a lof of other people self centered and greedy. Where is the character that our forefathers tried to instill into us, look no further than Tim Tebow for an example of true character, whether you like him or not you know this is all true.

It was a promise. Isn't keeping promises a part of christian value? Tim Tebow is an Inspiration to us all and you can't hate him. Their is nothing to hate him for. In my opinion, putting some plaque on a wall is not what makes it memorable and important. What's important is that we are national champions. THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! See you in California!!!!

As I recall, the same nonsense was said when Steve S, departed for the NFL. However, I can understand your wishful thinking. You recently quoted that the Tebow kid, was a douche bag,,,,most people who hate the Gators, would disagree with that statement.

You said that in 2009 when (Tebow is gone) the Gators would be playing in the Outback Bowl. Are you saying that Tebow is that good, since you just insinuated that he is ALL THAT. So then, which is he, a douche bag, or a superman.

Tebow is a very big part of the Gators success, but the are other player that are just as good in their own right. By the way, who's your team???????

No, me pointing out his comment was off target wasn't whining. The only whining I've read in this thread is your whining about my supposed blasphemy. I never said VT wasn't fair game. Just make the shot applicable to the conversation. You know like, “If VT ever wins a NC then they can decide how to honor those student athletes who contributed to it. I was joking about choosing Florida over Alabama, and how you have to have less brain cells for choosing Florida. Ha. Ha. Joke.

...and what you consider yourself matters more than just about anything else. Seriously. Over the long haul, that's what will matter. That you feel good about your decision, that you don't regret it, that you make the most of it...

The quality of the school you choose matters in the first 3-4 years after graduation, and even that remains subject to and a function of, how much of yourself you invest in it. After that, the quality of the person will transcend the quality of the education (though the quality of education has the potential--and for that matter, the propensity--to influence the quality of the person, almost proportionately--but there are of course, many exceptions....).

Ultimately, a person's character will shine through no matter what kinda' paper they have hanging on their wall. A good person will rise above his education level and/or quality, and a bad person will under achieve, and disappoint.

All I have to say about the white trash thing is: I've been to Gainsville on a Saturday in the fall and there's no more white trash in Tuscaloosa than there is in Hogtown.

Secondly, I do not claim fosterkeats down there as one of my fellow Bama fans on this site, as I've said before.

Finally, my education is as good as the next persons. Except I consider myself a slightly more brighter person than anyone who chooses UF over UA...

FWIW: Helter Skelter drew first blood with the "white trash" remark, so he earned that one whole. Now perhaps a sniper shot was in order, rather than the ensuing buckshot in Bama's general direction, but it was a matter of reciprocity.

What's more, I never called you or any student of bama "WT"; all I said was that it's funny--as in ridiculous--for a bammer to be calling UF out as "WT". Open that door, and the academics, and anything and everything that isn't "WT", becomes fair game.

Finally, you probably don't remember this, but I've posted it many times before--I was bama bound, had UF not accepted me. That should show you that I do not hold bama in too low esteem...
