oSU and uM will be out of BCS contention this year, they both are losing their strangle hold on the little 11 this year.
They may be a power in the midwest and both have strong recruiting classes, so that means coaching should be reviewed.
In uM's case of RR in AA, the jury is still out. Sweater vest doesn't seem to be up to the level of coaching that his recruiting is.

The entire state of Ohio, the ridiculous alumni and moreover red neck fans that give OSU the most appauling football following in the country had this one coming to them. What a group of arrogant pricks.

Maybe just maybe if you stopped running your mouth constantly, playing Div 9 schools (Youngstown St / Troy.. Do they even give degree's??) you MIGHT have karma back down a little. However your "fans" (a.k.a. ohio state felons) who insist on pegging opposing teams with beer bottles, damage to vehicles, physical fights, hitting women, knocking children over and everything else possible, continue to exhibit jail house behavior that does nothing more than to provoke every possible GOD to slap the ***eye's around when it counts the most.

THE OSU is and needs to be fully examined from the top down. Those that support this school should be put on the next plane to Guantanamo Bay.

Ohio State just doesn't get it. Go to their website and you'll find what's really important to them - you'll see a counter for "Days since Michigan's last victory over Ohio State". All very nice...but they might want to think about a sobering statistic - "Days since Ohio State beat a non-conference BCS team." Until they can beat the USC's and the SEC teams, a victory over Michigan isn't going to mean a whole lot.

I posted this on another thread, but it feels like a good fit here.

NCAA football parity is for real. If you understand that even numbers of schollys for schools,
means that big money/status schools, can no longer sign a lot of top talent, to ride the bench. Then, you must try to understand that traditional powers, are the ones that will take the hit. That being said, strength of conference will, over time, occasion a major shift of where the top talent will go. It is inevitable. You mark my words, and watch over the next ten years as some of the top left coast talent, starts to enroll in the southeast.
Considering strength of schedule, and parity. A traditionally dominant team, in a weaker conference, must eventually start to lose more often. That sucks for you, EVERYBODY else likes it. Stay with me now, traditional Powerhouses, start to look beatable to everybody else, can I hear an Amen from Appalachian State, AMEN!

This argument to the next level.

Why? Is this such a big deal to Ohio State. It is because once again burocracy takes presidence over the best.

Until a team like USC gets dropped to the bottom or out of the polls when they loose a game instead of just two or three spots the conferences like the Big Ten, and the Big East will never get the respect they deserve. I mean who else does USC play besides OS that is worth anything? Yet because of $$$ and the Rose Bowl they never get the recognition they really deserve 00!

I am a Michigan fan normally, that being said, I hope the Buckeyes beat the Trojans and shut up all thatt USC - Sportscaster love affair. I am sick of it it has been going on to long. As much as this pains me to say "GO BUCKEYES !!"

No Ron thanks for asking, I'm a couple of hours west from the H-town area, we are bout 50 miles south from Austin.
I've got a house full of folks from the Freeport/ Galveston area. I came home at 7 am and we drank Jack Daneils and watched a ZZ Top DVD. Everything is looking good from this end. God Bless the folks from the Gulf coast.

MD - Yeah, actually we've got 2 of those as well. They're the lightweights though, and they're USC grads, so I might be taking care of them for a change. Don't worry though, I'll make sure they have their insurance cards on them first.

Weather channel website 90 to 91 around kickoff - "feels like" 98 by 4:00 PM, dropping to a "feels like" 91 by 7:00. 10% to 20% chance of rain. Hot and humid apparently, typical GA - SC weather for mid September. Hydrate with plenty of fermented liquid. We will have an M.D. in our group so a less likely chance of a beer induced heat stroke, unless he goes down first then we could be in trouble.

Yes Stanford is the toughest, and I'm glad that USC & OSU have this game it means that football fans dont have to hear any BS later about these two because they already faced each other. This early in the season two highly ranked teams from different conferences colide.
The LSU's and UGa's are just jealous because they scheduled weak opponents and dont have balls like Carrol & Tressel
