Following a 4-7 season, a number of students protested against Bowden's continued employment at WVU. The following year they went 9-3, including a win against NC St in the Peach Bowl. That's when Bowden booked for FSU. He neither liked the contract nor WVU's commitment to his team. Trust me, Foster, I feel your pain.

Speaking of poor clock management, how about WVU's, Bill Stewart, last year against Colorado. With the game tied and just over a minute to play, WVU had the ball, 3 time outs and were on their own 42. Somehow they ran out of time trying to get into FG range. It wasn't a question of not making the plays. Somehow they ran out of time between plays; as in didn't call the time outs when they needed to; lost the game in OT. Go figure.

Go back and watch Franchione's last two games against Nebraska & Oklahoma both shoulda went the other way- poor clock management+ feild goals on 4th down

And to think what could have been if Bobby Bowden had gone to Bama in the '86...

Many, MANY thanks to Walter Lewis for calling Bowden a "racist" during his interview... (the story goes than Bowden was asked by Lewis if he would play a black QB over a white QB if they were equally talented, Bowden refused to answer, Lewis called him a racist, Bowden got up and walked out)...

We were saved multiple years of 10 win seasons and top 5 finishes... along with the probation and dozens of half-wit thugs getting arrested and not going to class and getting us on probation... wait, that last part happened anyway...

War Eagle, since we're talking about worst coaching jobs, as in over-all careers, howz-about individual games or seasons. Rich Rodriguez may have done a great deal at WVU, but look at his last game against Pitt, and look at his 1st season at MI. I mean, the 2007 Pitt game, in Morgantown, lost him and his team a chance at the National Championship. Though I know he'll have the Wolverines back on track, last year was the 1st time in 34 years MI players witnessed the post season from their living rooms. Not exactly stellar, is it.

Ya Thanks Ron We will see what happens next, this drive-by assault is probably looking for some form of reaction-to his ignorant statements.Wonder what happened to BamaR#1 at least his B/S was kinda funny-the whole profile thing etc etc-at least that joker showed some initative into the creation of his character.

WEA I understand- Mack Brown's overall record is not as good as his Texas record .81 @ Texas

Guys like Weis are just getting started and others have coached hundreds of games
