LOL! I probably won't go so far as to make a website for his firing, but I guess it depends on how many more games he screws up.

There might be other officials in other conferences that are bad, but in the ACC it doesn't get any worse. When Clemson has a game not played at 12 or 1, I seriously log into a site covering every ACC game before ours to find out if he is at their game instead of ours. If he's at our game, I assume the worst.

He really is the worst head referee I've ever paid much attention to. I really just want him gone. Other than his famous call, I really don't think any ACC fans like him.

Like I said, there might be others out there in other conferences that are just as bad, but I've never seen them if they are.

What is the beer during the game that you speak of? Man, I wish they could serve at on campus stadiums, or whatever the ridiculous rules are.

Speaking of, I remember a few years ago that the Scottish Claymores of NFL-Europe offered quite possibly the greatest sporting event offering of all time. If the Claymores scored 28+ (might've been 21+) points by the end of the 3rd quarter, the beer was free for the remainder of the game. Good Lord man, I got excited just typing that.

Your right Ron- there's always a few in every crowd-I dont think I would want to attend a game in Boulder.Looks like a great place,but throwing stuff from the stands and rude behavior reflects bad on the school & the city. I hope that opposing fans have a nice time in Austin. There will always be a few A-holes, but for the most part folks are cordial. The Hogs hate Texas which is cool. The last time the Horns played in Fayettville a lot of vehicles were vandalized- probably just some thugs and they dont really represent the majority of the fans.

I think all schools have some fans that are idiots, it only takes a few to project a bad image....I think the majority of fans are just that...fans, and all they want to do is enjoy the game and cheer for their team..

I meant playing Texas in the Jerry bowl or rotate other SWC shools rather than strictly A&M for ten years or however long it's going to be. They could have moved the Texas game to Dallas and continued it there.

Since when does a school have to be in your Conference to qualify as a Rival?

Clemson/South Carolina? Georgia/GT? Alabama/GT? UF/FSU? FSU/UM? USC/ND?

What am I missing there? Oh, you think just because they've sucked for half a century that we don't care?

You think that since we play them, but they don't truly compete with us, there's no tradition or rivalry?

You think since we have a very active rivalry with them in other collegiate sports (Baseball, namely) that it must not count?

I was raised to hate Alabama, hate Ole Miss, & hate Tulane...To differing degrees, of course...

I hate them as Rivals, I don't hate the institutions at their core, nor the vast majority that root for them...

I will say that we had two Tulane fans ejected from our section in Tiger Stadium this past year after they called the folks we've sat next to in our season tickets for 15 years "stupid" for being fans of-and attending-LSU in college. After he took umbrage to it and asked how many of their team was in "University College" the guy got ugly, and made disparaging remarks about the guy's wife. REAL CLASSY IN SOMEONE ELSE'S STADIUM, huh?

But, that's an isolated incident that used to be way more prevalent, but is no longer a rule, and more like an exception.

I hate Tulane's AD for his raping LSU Fans with ticket prices, but as I stated earlier in the thread, they are HUGELY important to the New Orleans area, and the fabric of the Community.

Perhaps you missed that part...Maybe so...I dunno...Maybe you also missed the part where when I talked about them being the scum of the Earth, I admitted-readily-that I was joking.

Unless we're talking about baseball. Scelfo has given us fits in the past. Here lately though, Minieri (LSU's coach) has gotten the Tigers back to the top of the National Rankings and Tulane lost a few of the players that always stepped up against the Tigers so the pendilum may have swung back in out direction for the time being.

CFB needs characters like Leach-The XII has some interesting press conferences between Gundy,Leach and Mangino you never know what to expect-I have to really respect these guys and what they have done for their programs-These guys know how to get the most from their players and compete at the highest level.

Five Rules I can't stand:

1) The Clock Rules (discussed previously)

2) Fumbles rolling Out-of-Bounds the End Zone automatically being declared touchbacks (change of possesion without defense even touching the ball).

3) Teams cannot wear the jerseys of their choosing if they mutually agree to it prior to the game (ie: SCAL/UCLA).

4) CUTTING OFF THE BEER AFTER THE THIRD QUARTER, WHEN WE NEED IT THE MOST.

5) Any rule of any kind restricting in any way "the flagrant violation of the halo", which is hands-down the most entertaining penalty of all. :)

Pirates give no quarter? Makes sense. If CLEM and TXT play each other again and CLEM wins, the Tigers will get to eat the TXT players, I guess. :)

The Universe doesn't want Mike Leach at Clemson. That is why the stars aligned and Dabo Swinney impressed the AD and got the job.

And part of CLEM fans' frustration was that Tommy Bowden's teams could beat absolutely anyone 'on occasion'. Same thing went for losing, sadly...

Every once in a blue moon, everyone has incidents like the MIA/FIU brawl. CLEM and SCAR had one back in 2004, etc...

Sure, out of control things happen at MIA; however they have become quite rare at MIA compared to other schools and especially compared to the 80's and 90's 'Canes.

Sorry, I just get riled up when people don't give credit where credit is due, especially to a disciplinarian coach like Randy Shannon.
