ECU just picked up a U of Kentucky running back Brandon Jackson. He will have to sit out one season but he was in the 43 range on rivals 06. I seen him play on both sides of the ball and dominate each way. He will have 3 years a ECU to prove himself.

I think UCF gets the nod because people forget/didn't know they lost Kevin Smith.

This makes my opinion of the championship game less certain, but I still go with UCF.

I think UCF gets the nod from a lot of people simply because they have ECU and USM in Orlando. Personally, I think Southern Miss will be the surprise team to beat. ECU's good defense may give VT some problems, and I would not be surprised at all if ECU beats UVa handily. Virginia is 0-2 all-time against ECU. My guess would be: EAST 1. Southern Miss, East Carolina (tie) 3. UCF 4. Marshall 5. Memphis 6. UAB WEST 1. Tulsa 2. SMU 3. UTEP 4. Houston 5. Rice 6. Tulane

Kevin Smith was the star RB for UCF. He was drafted by the Lions.
