Shurtleff threatens to sue, gets re-relected. Hatch threatens big measures against the BCS. It's seems no matter where any of us live, instead of having the pleasure of choosing from two or three decent candidates, we're left with having to choose the better of multiple evils. Like I said, sad.

Re: Utah AG riding BCS lawsuit to higher political office?

Hear this: Bob Bennett is an idiot! I'll take Shurtleff in the Senate over him any day!

Everything said above about Shurtleff goes triple for Bennett.

The BCS is not done on Capital Hill. The Senate Judiciary Committee has a prominent member named Oran Hatch (R-Utah). This hearing will be far more intense than the one they faced last week simply because it actually will deal with the anti-trust issues, not the funding of the universities that compose the BCS.

Re: Utah AG riding BCS lawsuit to higher political office?

This guys is either incredibly bright, or just incredibly lucky along with being incredibly stupid. Now here's the sad part: Everyone can see right through him and his motives, and nobody'll do anything about it.

Re: Utah AG riding BCS lawsuit to higher political office?

Funny you should mention that. Shurtleff has deemed polygamy to be low priority for the state to prosecute, at least that's what his wikipedia policy statements seem to say.

So... if you're keeping score for Shurtleff at home....

YES - university financial aid illegal aliens and polygamy
NO - BCS

*I might be oversimplifying the issues.

Re: Utah AG riding BCS lawsuit to higher political office?

So I guess there's nothing else in Utah that these douche bags need to worry about... kinda like the f*cksticks here in Georgia this time last year that were whining like babies when their team wasn't good enough to play for the national championship...

Hey Mark, go find some polygamy sects to bust...
