Man Texas has been just getting by too. I think their final game is tonight vs TCU. Series tied.

Thx btw. Pitchung really improved over last years Omaha team. Same guys, more experience. They're hitting the ball all over the place too. The Dr who just did my rotator cuff surgery is in LSU's dugout every game. He's the team Orth Surg. Gotta go see him Tuesday. Gonna try and talk him into stowing me away in the bus somewhere...lol. At least get him to bring back a momento.

Yeah, ASU has some fantastic pitching. Their hitting didn't look too bad against us either. They look like they'll be able to contend with UNC, Virginia, LSU, and Texas for the title. Sorry, but I just really don't see anyone outside of those 5 winning it all this year.

College baseball is screwy man. I think you're trying too hard to make sense of all of the polls. Just ignore them and know that in the ACC and SEC, if they have a good conference record, they've got a good team. Of course, this is all coming from someone who doesn't even really like baseball to be honest.

Good luck again to your boys though. I really do see them having a legitimate shot to win it all this season.

Thought about you last night when I was watching Clemson play. You're right about ASU's pitching...dudes are tough. Was pulling for y'all but it didn't work out. Why the hell would they put y'all in a Super that far away? Doesn't make sense but actually par for the course when it comes to the NCAA.

And you're right about the polls. I'm still trying to figure which one is relevant. And Cal St? That's the million dollar question. Wish I knew that one myself.

Oh well, we get Virginia up next. Got my fingers crossed.

I watched your game against Rice last night while pregaming before the bars. It was a good game, and you guys have a very good squad.

As for us I honestly think our season will end in Tempe. As you said every SR is difficult, and we have to go all the way across the country for ours. ASU has a killer pitching staff, and hitting hasn't been great for us lately. I'm hoping like hell that I'm wrong, but I'm not expecting to be wrong on this one.

I never really pay attention to baseball polls too much. It seems like there's 8 of them and they're all different. Usually I just look at RPI to figure out who the good teams are. Although, there are no bad teams in the final 16. Why is it that Cal State Fullerton always seems to have a cakewalk to Omaha?

Didn't know that Clem.....thx. And g/l in the supers. We got Rice coming to town again so it won't be easy but it never is when you get to the SR's.

While we're on it, explain how we're the concensus #1 team in the country and Texas is the #1 overall tournament seed. Never understood that. Not that it matters, I guess.

Joe Paterno's comments on the Big Televen's potential expansion have prompted SI to write an article about it, and ESPN to discuss it a few times on TV.

That was the Sugar Bowl when Texas found out their starting cornerback was 30yrs old...

"The biggest off-the-field incident was revealed on the final weekend before the Sugar Bowl. Texas reserve defensive back Ron McKelvey was revealed to be using an assumed name. In reality, he was a 30-year-old man named Ron Weaver who had played for a junior-college team and a small-college team under other assumed names. Weaver disappeared prior to the Sugar Bowl, but stated that he had used the assumed name in order to gather information for a book about the inner workings of Texas football. Weaver later pleaded guilty to a felony charge of misusing Social Security numbers, but avoided jail and paid no fine. Texas was not sanctioned by the NCAA, but Longhorns players later said the event was a severe distraction from pre-game preparations..."

I can not see BSU or Utah playing in the Rose Bowl if a Pac and/or Big 10 school plays in NCG. I could see the Rose bowl going after Big 12 or SEC school who fans travel well, instead of BSU or Utah I.E. Texas or Alabama or Florida or Texas A & M, or Oklahoma. I could see the Rose bowl picking West Virginia over BSU or Utah.

You correctly state the public opinion of the Rose bowl for the past decade.

I remember back this December hearing that the Rose Bowl was open to considering the value of inviting a team like Utah or Boise State, strongly implying that it would be in a case where no PAC 10 or Big 10 team was available for one of the slots.
