This guy has lost his mind...</p>Tommy_TrojanThu, 01 Jan 2009 17:39:30 -0000http://www.fanblogs.com/new_mexico_state/007980.php#comment-4816454<p>That's probably one of the worst decisions by a good young coordinator I've ever seen.</p><p>$375K/year is less than what LSU pays its coordinators, and our recruiting coordinator approaches that salary!</p><p>Also, let's face it, NMSU is not his ultimate final destination. He's going to look for bigger and better things. The problem is, at NMSU, in order to get himself in position to do that, he will have to do something that's never been done there: Win, win consistently, and win bowl games.</p><p>He won't have the facilities, the administration's support, the players, or the ability to attract quality coaches in order to accomplish this.</p><p>The other-more logical-route would have been to come to LSU, coordinate the defense and get familiar with recruiting the South regionally, and how to call a game against top flight speed and top flight offensive coordinators.
