USC will NEVER make it past the rose bowl if they don't put any tough teams on their schedule. by the way the question on this website is "who will be the 2009-2010 BCS national champion?" so stop bringing up accomplishments usc did with an entire different team and usc should not have played lsu in the championship. until they do what oklahoma, texas, florida, alabama, and lsu do(play a team with a winning record) they shouldn't have a chance at a title.

USC would gladly play teams from the SEC or Big 12. Just brecause they aren't afraid of you. Scheduling teams like OSU and VT and Nebraska, Colorado(when they were good), BYU, Auburn,etc. I believe your programs don't want to play us. Also USC has defeated the SEC teams that it has played in the pc era. So get your facts straight. One last thing if USC would have played LSU in the championship game(which they should have) it would have been a great game with USC taking care of another SEC team.

They also beat the living crap out of my Sooners with a Heisman winner at QB and Adrian Peterson in the backfield, and went to Nebraska and crushed their season before it ever began.
Their problem has been losing to lesser conference opponents.

I believe they opened one season a few years back at Auburn and waxed the floor with them. They also handed Arkansas a huge home loss to start a season a few years ago, although McFadden was limited by a foot injury.

if usc is so good then why don't they play any teams from the big 12 or sec and i don't watch espn. usc can bring it to teams like washington state who only won one game all season and i'm not sec bias if it makes you feel any better usc can't beat ALOT of teams. my decision on the pac 10 is the pac 10 SUCKS!!!

Blah, Blah, Blah Another SEC bias comment.Why don't you make your own decision on PAC 10 talent instead of using the media's generic comment's regarding USC's weak schedule.If you were a true College Football fan you would know that USC has a solid program and can "bring it" against any team in the country.Look at the top ten teams USC has beaten recently, and stop watching ESPN,you are being misinformed.

if there is anyone overranked EVERY YEAR its the trojans. usc plays some of the weakest teams in college football but then they gripe when they don't get to play in the National championship. the reason you never play in it is because you never beat any tough teams and don't deserve it. beat a team from the sec or big 12 and prove that your the team that you THINK you are.

I'm sorry but there are other teams in college football other than the SEC. and just because the Hokies play ball with DEFENSE instead of scoring 60 points and letting the other team score 40 doesn't mean we couldn't take any top 5 spot. We'll see you on the field & when a couple of your players are taken out by our defense we'll see how many points you can score then. Your just pissed because no1 has USC ranked 1st or 2nd, which is how I hope it stays.

Well TE, i too was worried about the OL.
BUT, Saban seems to be very happy with the unit during spring practice, and our freshman class with Fluker hasn't even arrived yet.
obviously, it won't be as good as it was last year, but i don't see it being a problem for us.
Greg McElroy is looking pretty good. like i've been saying, i think we'll definitely see more INTs next year, but i think more big plays too.

but our defense is the reason for all of the top 5 hype.
our defense might be the best in the SEC next season.

Are you joking? Ok St. is a good team, but there is no way they will go 11-1. Even if they do, that is possibly not enough to win the South. They usually give Texas a good game but Texas always pulls out the victory. What, other than those 2 home games, gives Ok. St. an advantage over the other teams in the South? And don't even think about saying qb play, they will have to beat both the runner-up and the Heisman winner. I don't see it happening

What's hilarious is all of the idiots who put Alabama as a Top 5 team next year...

They lost their starter at Center. They lost their starter at Left Tackle. They lost their starter at Quarterback.

All of them were Juniors or Senior, multiple year starters.

Did you see what happened to Alabama against Spread Offenses? Did you see what happened to Alabama when they lost their Left Tackle?

I just don't see it. I really don't.

As for our chances...I'll just remain quietly optimistic. Our offensive line needs a Center to step up, because right now, our starter is going with a Green non-contact jersey in Spring Drills. This creates an inability to truly develop continuity & cohesiveness.

As a result, the DL looks to be other-worldly. Which is why seeing the OL struggle & the DL excel is something that gives me cause for concern during LSU's Spring Practice.

We just don't know how much stock to put in those two crucial positions because of that one injury. The OL was outstanding last year. The DL was sub-par. That one issue in Spring Drills is something that leaves a lot of question marks heading into Fall Camp.

As for linebacking, The Chief's got us covered there. Secondary is going to be vastly improved.

On offense, at tailback, we again return the deepest, most talented and experienced depth chart in the conference. We do have a hole at FB, but I'm thinking that our philosophy this year is going to reduce our use of that position, to a large degree.

Wide Receiver will be improved, greatly. Having said that, we return a 1st Team All-SEC Wideout in Brandon LaFell. What's more important than that is that we'll be vastly improved at quarterback. We'll return the deepest, most experienced two deep there, as well. On top of that, we'll introduce Russell Shepard to the SEC, and the nation.

I'm happy with where we are, but I'd like to see the Center take some live action snaps and stop going against the sleds & in individual drills. It will tell us a great deal about how our season goes. If he steps up, we'll be great. If the DL is actually legit, we'll be even greater.

Oklahoma state will be in the national title game next year. Oklahoma State has a great number of home games which includes Texas, Georgia, and Texas Tech. My only worry about next season is playing Oklahoma in Norman.
