Three so far, and some others might be offered jobs and a chance to step up.

I don't think Mendenhal or Whittingham are going anywhere, but how many coordinators are Utah, BYU and TCU about to lose?

I will believe in SDSU when they start winning. ( The loss to Cal Poly was understandable, but to Notre Dame?? ) The good news is they can only go up from where they are.

The MWC needs everyone to be strong out of conference. We can have a bottom dweller who never wins a conference game as long as they are winning out of conference.

Other than SDSU, everyone stepped up and did their part, even Wyoming. In 2004 Utah got to #6 by killing teams by 21+ points every week. This year we had a number of close games and road the strength of our conference up the rankings.

If only we had the love the voters bestow upon USC...

Wow the Mountain West has its best year ever and half the coaches are gone! Next year's gonna be exciting!! You're right thought San Diego State should play way more competitive!! But you know you got something wrong with the way the program is run when you can't win the conference even though you have Marshall Faulk on your team.

Wyoming mostly gets the left overs from Colorado, though one could make the case that Montana kids could see Wyoming as a good option close to home.

I mean what are they expecting recruit wise. I think it is important to attract athletes. Athletes are young college kids. Young college kids normally do not view Wyoming as a great destination (Actually I am suprised San Diego doesn't dominate the MWC).

I have to agree... What are these people expecting. Montana though has the highest rating for great outdoor activites so perhaps we just need to think outside the box.

Highest stadium in NCAA football in the US?

War Memorial Stadium, home of the University of Wyoming Cowboys. Located in Laramie, WY. the field level is at 7,220 ft. above sea level. The next highest stadium in at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, followed by Falcon Stadium (Air Force Academy) in Colorado Springs, CO.

So, apparently they just need to start recruiting mountain goats and teaching them to play football. That is unless they can find kids that just love to play at a really high altitude. Maybe they can start an exchange program with Bolivia.

Interesting . . . I guess you can't really expect much from UWyoming. What recruits would honestly want to go to Wyoming?

Idaho has a population of 1,499,402, three times that of Wyoming. Wyoming is slightly less than North Dakota, but still almost three times South Dakota.

I can't imagine the State of Idaho has many more people than Wyoming, but Boise seems to do well. I always wondered how Boise has been able to achieve such success.

Wyoming's total population, according to the 2006 census estimate, was 515,004. We've got states with more high school students than that. Recruiting has got to be tough. They might be last in line to benefit from parity. At least the job won't be shipped over seas.
